You’re awesome bro! I drive a tow truck so I come across people that are just tired of dealing with their cars. I’m picking up a 2007 VW Jetta same symptoms no power takes no jump but now thanks to you I’m gonna have it figured out. Keep em coming!!!
Brother thank you very much, my car died on Saturday 25 may, just went off didn't know what to do until I see this video and I tried it myself and it worked, I just changed the relays and the dashboard came back and it started right away. thanks again you saved me thousand of Rands. please add more videos
My VW Rabbit 2007 died just yesterday, after some research on the internet I found your video. I’m so thankful man, it did work. Getting the replacement part.
Worked for me on my 2009 Jetta.. Switched the 460 relays around and found the 460 Relay Closest to the Drivers Door bad after switching relays! Replaced with new..Fixed Problem.. Back In Action! Thanks!!! Power Back to Dash Starts EVERY Time! Thanks!!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is exactly what I needed to know. I have a 2014 Jetta and all power went out. Drove me crazy! Pun intended. It was exactly the same issue and the one on the left. I replaced it and my car started right up! Thanks again!
Auto care shop wants to charge me $200 just for service. That doesn’t even include the parts. Firestone is too busy can’t schedule me for another week. Can you help at all? I know it’s an issue I can fix on my own with a little direction.
I suggest doing a capacitive discharge of the car battery before changing out parts. Disconnect both battery terminals, starting with the ground - (negative), connect both connection leads with a jumper wire for at 1 minute. Reconnect both battery terminals, hopefully that helps. That worked with my car!
Dude..spot on..question though..the one you swapped and put to the right..what does that work? And how does that work it that relay you pulled from the left was not responding? I am stoked but curious..thanks
I did it exactly you showed,i have same problem i did switch but still i have the electric problem.any other idea could you suggest me.thank you for your time.
A question - how does the relay panel come out so that the relay on the right can be accessed? I see in the video that you don't have the dash more disassembled than I've been able to get, but I'm stuck at getting to the removal of the relay panel so than it can be accessed. I've got 2009 Jetta and was troubleshooting a current leak that was draining the battery - thought I found it (radio circuit) but after reconnecting battery, found nearly everything dead - only electrical working are interior and exterior lights and the horn through the door lock circuit. Doesn't appear to be the described anti-theft (immobilizer) so I'm tracing wiring diagram and figured I'd test the relays. thank you
Javier gracias buen video exactamente es lo q me esta pasando a mi. Disculpa no tienes otro video como quitar las partes de tablero? te lo agradeceria!
Tried this today on our touran but no luck... center computer with mileage lights up with info etc and blue dim lights work but that's about it so may be cluster how do we tell.
Hello.. Could you tell me how to lower the Power Relay Carrier as you did in your Video? Does it snap in? Any help would be appreciated.. My control module is bad and will have to be replaced.. Thanks!
Michael Freiermuth hey there ! im on the same boat as you, I switched the relays just like javier did but it didn’t worked for me neither, maybe de other relay was bad too ? Did u ever found the problem on your car, ? Mine is a 2006 mk5 GTI
I have same problem as you guys switched those 2 460 relays and even replaced them with new one still nothing. Did you guys ever figure this out .please help
@@Dconectadostvfilms hey, sorry to bother you, did you find the reason and did you managed to fix it ? I would greatly appreciate your help. kind regards
No I still have not figured it out .new batterie cleaned all ground tested all fuses. Think it mit be instrument cluster. But I'm still not 100% on what it mite be .
Just change relay #645 its the same relay just diff number on newer style jetta/golf/beetle . The one that is bad is the last one on the left side of that relay panel, there are 3 relays with same number #645 just swap them and you will see if the left one is bad .
@@shawntaylor3171 Yes, turns out it was in the fuse box, but it wasn't any of the relays. My issue turned out to be a bad Main fuse. Multi - Purpose Fuse. Part Number: 5C0937629B . This was my issue. Once replaced. Everything worked.
Its the same panel but all the way up above the first panel there is one more very deep up ,and there are 3 relays with # 645 just swap them and check if its gonna start, the bad relay is last one on the left side of the relay panel.

@@speedbird180 I certainly did. I replaced the main fuses and got me the actual battery for my car. As the wrong battery causes a lot of problems in them.
@@naz8291 I encountered a problem like this once and the simple solution was to change the fuel pump module. As it was corroded causing it to not function effectively.
@@shaydzforlyphe9693 I went to a mechanic and he checked the errors through the OBD output... the result were saying that most of the sensors are lost communication... so the mechanic told me I need to change the car computer, and it would cost me around $1.3k to get me a used computer! Cuz a new one would be almost $2.7K!!! Idk if he’s trying to manipulate me or what... so I’ve been looking for a cheaper solution ever since....
