She might be joking about this, but she talked about being constantly singing, practicing piano and guitar at all hours at home that her father signed her up for YG K-pop training camp so her family can get some quiet time meaning that she and her group members trained 24/7 to become K-pop idols away from home. She also mentioned that her parents aren't into listening to music which is hard to imagine. lol. Basically, her father sent her to K-pop camp so he could get some sleep.

i do feel like, because they’re so popular, people forget how talented BlackPink are. their training was performing live, for teachers, managers, etc .. and i feel like that is part of why they all are so comfortable on stage .. it’s what they came up doing. they’re all so different, and Rose did not get much love as the main vocalist of the group, i’m so glad she is able to put her talents on display and be recognized for more than just the one who doesn’t rap in BP. (funnily enough, in concerts, usually sound check, Lisa often makes Rose rap her parts live). going back and rewatching her sea of hope performances and her birthday covers now!! I think you nailed it with that comment about the "gorgeous cry" in her voice. I've been saying for a while now that what makes her stand out is that "keening" quality her tone has. Good singers are everywhere BUT there are only a few that can make you instantly emotional from the first few notes they sing. Rosé has the ability to execute excellent vocals but what makes her stand out is her ability to deliver the story using her vocal tone and skills to evoke emotions from the listener. She truly is special and I’m really looking forward to her album. Her song writing skills are also showcased and adds to the storytelling.

She was also sick during this performance and had a severe sore throat. You could hear at times when she was singing slowly how raspy and sore it sounded, so for the fact she was sick I am 10000000x more impressed
