This is so amazing. I discovered it in choir. One of my directors loved this and challenged us on multiple days (several times a day) to try and hold that "She's bad" note. Very, very, very impressive, my friend.
@MTGlipp You're just mistaken about the part voicing. Instead of kicking each one up, I took the bass and put it on the Eb root above everything else. Bari Bb (5th) Lead G (3rd) Tenor Db (7th) Bass Eb (Root) And essentially, when you think of it that way, its the exact same chord the original tag has, except you take the bass note and raise it 2 octaves.
@danwright32 I'm going to have to agree with systemnotadown on this one. I do it for the enhanced, layered, massive sound it produces. Can't you hear it?
Might I just say that this is one of my favorite songs to listen to in the car, and you did it amazingly. I am definitely adding this to my favorites :) Amazing job, again.
@danwright32 There are about a dozen multi tracks/live quartet videos of four voices singing this arrangement in the related video sidebar if that strikes your fancy.
@floppaboppa 'Chinese Seventh' is the actual term, and it's just the name for a certain voicing of the standard barbershop 7th chord which you hear all the time (root, major 3rd, 5th, harmonic 7th) A chinese seventh is when the chord is voiced (from the top): Root, 7th, 3rd, 5th So in this case, it's an Eb7 chord, and the tenor has a high Eb (root), the bari is on the Db just below it (7th), the lead has the post on a G (3rd) and the bass is on a Bb (5th) =) And it is indeed very kickarse =P
I tip my hat to you, sir. But not primarily for your musical prowess. Don't take this the wrong way; this is among the best work I've seen hitherto in the field of multitracks. But no, I would like to formally applaud you for your advocation of dalmatian-murder awareness. You, my good lad, have done this community a grand service by exposing that foul wench for the monster she is, and I hope that your work here today serves as the final nail in her coffin of ruination. Once again, sir, bravo.
@MTGlipp What's a chinese? I can hear the chord change, and obviously it's kickarse, but even with some kind of basic knowledge of singing I can't decode what the word means.
O_O Dear God this one is awesome. It sounds very together, and it works brilliantly in chorus form SOOO many perfect chords all over the place The tag was amazing, as always =P and the Chinese at 3:39 is a stroke of genius
How can you manage to exhale that long?? I managed to do it with 1 and a half breaths but Seriously how long did you have to train your voice for this??
@Barbershop666 ahahaaha subtly done =P Anyhow, doesn't change the chord. And I guess if a quartet was going to sing this version of the tag, most of them would voice it with bass on 5, bari on 7 and tenor on high root I assume =3 And as I said earlier, this whole song is brilliant; you nail every single part (tenor and bari especially, but thats just my opinion =P) and keep it up. This is honestly the best stuff on youtube right now
so I went looking for a better, original version, but i couldn't find one. All i could find was random clips from the movie (not the full song) and fricken Selena Gomez. I ended up coming back to this video and listening to it like 20 times. I think it's the best version out there
Now THIS is what I was talking about in your previous videos when I said a quicker paced song would do better in my opinion. I really like this one. I know you're not necessarily trying to entertain an audience, but this one is really good in comparison to some of your others.
@Barbershop666 LOL!! Aren't we all? Btw man, this is fucking sick! Love the tag twist and the almost-50-second post? You seriously did that more than once? Wow. I can barely scrape 30 if I'm lucky! You definitely win, man. Love your stuff and don't stop!!!
@SimonGriffindor I'm sorry. I'm just sick of people trying to fight with me over my opinion. I never said it was bad and yet you and the guy above me both commented and I've received pms from 3 separate people. it's really frustrating
@tobi5055 really? I watched this vid like 50 times and haven't noticed the nose scratching, nor do I care. The singing is just phenomenal. 666 keep up the good work, and don't mind the haters.
@Barbershop666 well, i guess for every ex-girlfriend with a grudge, you have almost 100 others that know better than that. :) you're awesome and we all know it
Qualcuno che sa cosa vuol dire cantare e che distingue una semibreve da una minima. Non guadagnerà molto. Someone who knows what it means to sing. He'll not earn much.

Fabulous and utter genius. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful suff.
That was kick ass, loved it!

@Barbershop666 I definitely hear it. And I think it sounds really good. I'm just saying I would've enjoyed it more if it was done quartet style
I never expected that the tag could be re-arranged to sound just as awesome as the original. You proved me significantly wrong! Well done sir! :)
@floppaboppa

i love this piece as a chorus. i think it sounds better than a quartet. good job, man
Mind blowing stuff, just love the chord from 0:35 to 0:42. Gorgeous.
This is bad ass. Nice post at the end of the intro. The chord at "feel ill" is fun.
this is the best version of this song ever. EVER. any chance of a release of the arrangement?
how long does it take to film and edit all of this?
I am so glad I found your videos! They have inspired me to start singing again :)
Wow. May I ask how you train to hold a note for 46 seconds? Times 8? Incredible.
My favorite movie as a kid...well, it was tied with Boyz in da Hood but I love this. Thanks for posting. :)
Of course, great work as always, dude. Love the choral work. Eagarly awaiting more works. You're awesome!

The 45-second post alone makes this video amazing. Bravo!

its really good. however I have to ask. why did you do it in choral form? it was written for 4 voices
You are one amazing singer for holding a note that long!! Strange how you remind from someone I know from school
This is REALLY great! Slight tag variation? Or am I dreaming? Great stuff.
Where'd you find the music for this?
Adoration. If I could like this video in multiplicity, I would without a second thought. You rawk.
This is incredible. I hope you gain following asap because YOU ARE AMAZING.
I honestly don't understand how you get hate comments. ALL of your videos are incredible- especially this one!
This is just as breathtaking for me, as that post must've been for you. Fantastic performance.
Thank you for helping me decide which song the chorus I'm starting at my school will be singing.
Damn, I'm late to the party! This was awesome!
Hey, what editing software do you use?
I love the changes to the tag! that was sick!
Awesome. It must take a feckin' age for these type if videos to render :P Keep up the good work as always :)
Wow, this is yet another amazing video. Keep them coming, man. You brighten my day, everyday.

0:34 is the best part of the entire song for me
so I went looking for a better, original version, but i couldn't find one. All i could find was random clips from the movie (not the full song) and fricken Selena Gomez. I ended up coming back to this video and listening to it like 20 times. I think it's the best version out there
Amazing as always

Nice change on the chords of the tag!! :D
Now THIS is what I was talking about in your previous videos when I said a quicker paced song would do better in my opinion. I really like this one. I know you're not necessarily trying to entertain an audience, but this one is really good in comparison to some of your others.

This really reminds me of the song Killer Queen by Queen, have you tried doing that?
@HappyDan305 David Wright arrangement.
@Systemnotadown I have to disagree. While it sounds good. I think it would've sounded better if he only used 4 voices
@Barbershop666 No disrespect meant. You're very good
@SimonGriffindor I'm sorry. I'm just sick of people trying to fight with me over my opinion. I never said it was bad and yet you and the guy above me both commented and I've received pms from 3 separate people. it's really frustrating
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVED THIS!!!!!
@danwright32 I know. I'm only trying to illuminate my point to you.
