I both love and hate playing incomplete rom hacks/fan games, I love it because usually they're stunning, fun concepts and engaging story, but I hate it because then I want more lol. The one I'm waiting for the most rn to be complete is Pokemon Sacred Phoenix
pokemon rejuvenation is that game for me… played it like 6 years ago and havent felt like playing it all over again every update
@@ToTheStars65 I played it a few times, and I've only had to restart my entire save once, but it was well worth it since it felt like a whole new game, you should definitely try it again if you haven't played 13.5 yet!

Wow this hack looks amazing! The resprites of normal Pokemon is such an amazing extra detail among all the others you mentioned. The visuals are literally eye candy
Really strong Pokemon Procyon/Deneb vibes. Especially with Lunabbit, there was a Pokemon really similar in the Altair/Sirius/Vega romhacks that was familiar. Hoping to see more from this current team soon =)
I am OBSESSED with the spritework in this demo! Like, I am literally poring over every detail as I'm watching. The colors are just ideal, the UI and the battle backgrounds are fascinating... this is what Gen 3 should have looked like. Like, this would've put Gen 3 in my personal top three generations if it had looked like this. Look at the cliff faces! The ledges! Rock walls in Pokémon always looked weird to me, but these are so natural. Man, everything here inspires me.
Paraseptor is something I so wanna put in a game! Like, I would've just made Parasect Bug/Ghost (with that same red/gray color scheme, too!) 'cause it's basically a zombie, but this looks like such a natural evolution. Like, it goes from bug with some 'shrooms, to perfect fusion of bug and mushroom, to now mostly a toadstool with some bug qualities; it's such a natural fit! I think that's what I wanna do now. Like, look at it! The "gills" are the veil, the stem is the dress, the little frilled collar around the stem is now a necklace. I don't know what the green energy ring is about; are they spores that help it float? I love the pattern on its hat; the design just screams special attacker, but it could also be a slow mixed attacker. I seriously want this!

This hack looks really cool. ive got ideas and strorys that ive tried making in the past but i kept stumbling over the less interesting stuff, you really need the passion to see these things through so mad respect for those that try

It feels like there are so many cool things *nearly* coming out, but we still need to wait- looking forward to Pisces, and then this later down the line
Listening to someone gush over similar interests like tiny details and beautiful spritework makes me very happy LOL

Heyyy, Spades and Clubs! One of my favorite details was the shadows that the battle sprites get :-D
I’m totally with you, I always loved seeing sprite differences between games. Even just the fonts between games. I owned Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen (I would save my money and only buy Pokemon games lol) and they used different fonts between RS, E, and FRLG. IMO nothing beats GSC sprites, they’re so beautiful. That’s also why I love Emerald Seaglass, the sprites in that game are so peak
10:45 I believe it would be based on a Pitaya, a cactus fruit sometimes used interchangeably with dragon fruit, but is technically its own species

This reminds me a lot of Pokémon Alpha, a similar one-map demo that was released over a decade ago with equally gorgeous sprite work. The dev disappeared off the face of the earth after ORAS was released and the hack is considered abandonware at this point- I sincerely hope that doesn't happen to this as well!
In the case of romhacks and fan games that get abandoned, I really wish the developers would at least give their work away to people who would be willing to continue the game.
At least then we would be able to enjoy more from the games that we were really looking forward to...
