    Thanks for the video. I was actually wondering how you got at the adjusters with the T56 mounting flange being so wide to block straight access to them. Is the Browell deeper than the Quick Time, and if so, how did you deal with the input shaft length? Or did you get the Browell strictly to have a mechanical linkage?

    • @Canadianchucknorris69
      @Canadianchucknorris69  Год назад +1

      I got the Browel to deal with the 11” clutch finger weights, so it stock height just has more dia further back before the taper if that makes sense?

    • @Canadianchucknorris69
      @Canadianchucknorris69  Год назад +1

      I forgot to mention I did run the Quicktime with this clutch, but had to space it out then run a LS pilot bearing in the outside register for the pontiac crank.

    So you use 1/2 a turn of base and how much weight?

    If you were to start over from scratch would you go full manual linkage or hydraulic ? I am looking to start converting my 65 from a power glide soon.

    • @Canadianchucknorris69
      @Canadianchucknorris69  Год назад +2

      I have had both, started with a hydraulic and switched to a mechanical…. Definitely mechanical for me!

    How often do you need to change disks?

    • @Canadianchucknorris69
      @Canadianchucknorris69  6 месяцев назад

      It really depends on how many passes, but two or 3 drag n drives isn’t an issue.

    Have you ever had clutch release issues after driving on the street long enough for everything to get good and heated? Maybe 45 minutes or more.

    • @Canadianchucknorris69
      @Canadianchucknorris69  Год назад

      Not so far, and I have been in some major traffic in hots temps, being a full mechanical linkage helps. Have you had a different experience?

    • @Canadianchucknorris69
      @Canadianchucknorris69  Год назад

      The only thing I would mention is that it will get chattery in that stop and go traffic if you are stuck in it for a long time.

      @@Canadianchucknorris69 Thanks for the reply. Yes I have a Jerico with a stock style diaphragm clutch. I've tried a few different brands. My current clutch is a RAM HD PowerGrip. I know one day I need to step up. After driving long enough for the drivetrain to get good and heated it wants to grind ever so slightly going into reverse. Actually it won't grind and can be stopped easily if I ease in but still continues to turn even after holding the clutch in for five seconds or more. 70 Chevelle all stock mechanical linkage. Bell housing aligned to perfection. I don't believe it's an air gap or adjustment issue. I believe it's in the pilot bushing or disc binding or on the splines. Maybe the nature of a non snychro box that spins very easily.
