Guru Nanak was born as Hindu but he never accepted Hindu rituals like Tilak, Janju etc and started Sikhism. He promoted service to humanity, universal brotherhood, sharing with others, pray to one God at home with family responsibilities ( do not go to jungles), equality. His teachings were lot simpler, clearer and powerful than Hinduism like pray to one Supreme Lord in comparison to thousands in Hinduism (by which i have no prblm but diff from sikhs). Need no vedas, just recite Waheguru.

Sikhism is totally different from Hinduism ......there is not any similarity
I'm Agnostic, but awareness about religion is beautiful and usually eye-opening.

You are Sikh means a graceful person. Whenever some one become A Sikh, his internal things automatically changed and find himself a very different than other world. God shower His special blessings which now a day's most world knows who these special perfect human being.

This was nice to watch. I understand that you want to portray a peaceful, spiritual, helpful vibe with your uniform, but I think most people wont interpret it like this. After learning more about Sikhism I can appreciate someone dressed like you pass me by, but most people, specially in western countries, will probably just feel frightened, stressed or upset. I guess with all the tension with muslims, and religion fundamentalists, people are on guard. Humans already feel tension with whats unknown and different, and you are doing EVERYTHING you can to NOT look western! XD So that adds to the tension. Im glad I learned a bit about the religion, I will defenetively not feel as uptight when I see someone with your uinform pass by!

We are not here to make people feel comfortable or uncomfortable. As a Sikh we value all life and respect everyone's religion. My friend a Sikh Doctor in UK said he does not wash the hair every day as a practical solution instead of everyday washing on premise it is an elaborate procedure. I think most sikhs have same approach.
