Actually battery needs to be connected first then input dc must be connected, When I disconnect battery the resistor triggering bc547 senses battery is full because voltage & current returns or rises to cutoff refrence. And that's why to restart charging battery needs to be connected first, then on full charge it will cutoff automatically.

Yes, you can but you need to use 5v realy instead of 12v also you need to replace 2.2k resistor with 1k and instead of 470 ohms Resistor you need to use 1k variable resistor to set your desired cutoff voltage.

If you cut off the charge at 14 volts, the battery will be charged to 80%. After the voltage rises to 14.4 volts, you should wait for the current to drop to at least C/20.
As I have used 1n5408 general purpose Diode, 3A output max, if you need higher current eg, under 10A use MIC110A Diode. The input must be 14v to 14.2v max & 10A maxx

I think u should try a variable resistor to set a fixed voltage limit. that way u will also easily find out which fixed resistor u need.

You need 13.8V to charge a 12V lead acid series of cells.
Why not two diodes and charge in parallel?
