E-Readers are made with a low refresh rate on the screen precisely to conserve battery life. Since it’s meant for reading then they don’t focus on making them with all the bells and whistles like a standard tablet or a phone for example. That’s why it’s a big slow navigating the menu and whatnot. The higher the refresh rate on a tech product the more it drains the battery. I personally ordered an e-reader because my iPad minis battery drains way too much with me reading on it all the time! 😅
That does make a lot of sense! The battery life is amazing on the kindle, so I’d take that over the bells and whistles any day haha. Plus I’ve heard that you can add books to the library from the mobile app, so at least there’s a way around it!
I just ordered my first ever kindle for Prime day (the black signature edition as well!) Thank you for going through so much depth in your setup. I am even more excited for mine to arrive. I've run out of shelf space as well and...books are a lot of money 😂

i was torn between buying Kindle Paperwhite or Amazon Fire HD 8 plus. I always wanted to have new kindle since the one my brother gave me after graduation (2015) was old and couldn't turned on now.. but then, i know to myself that I couldn't read as often as I wanted to bc of the busy sched from work, so I decided to get the Amazon Fire as it's tablet with Kindle and i can do other thing like netflix if i can't read.. :< i hope i won't regret my decision. I really like your video so much, very aesthetic and was so happy to see your library that has The Song of Achilles

I was gonna get the matcha color when I got mine!!! I know that sellers on Etsy have skins so you can customize the color yourself, so I might do that in the future😗😗
@@SarahNicole24 I’m not a fan of popsockets and the clear cases if I’m being honest so in reality it doesn’t even matter what color I get because I use a leather case that covers the whole thing 💀
Hi! So kindle is going to remove the ability to send MOBI files to the device soon since it’s a older format, and it won’t support the newest kindle features for that file type. You would have to re-download your books in the EPUB format in order for them to be compatible. I hope this helps!🤍🤍
Hi! I chose the signature edition over the standard paperwhite because of the automatic light adjustment, the wireless charging option, and the 32GB of storage compared to the 8GB on the standard edition. They’re all minor improvements, but I thought it was worth the extra money!

The screen flashing is a bit annoying, but I’m so glad it doesn’t do that when you turn the pages!😭
