Hi boss, i got a question I have a 2013 Volvo with d13 820k now def deleted still has egr I replaced injectors a year ago . Ever since I replaced the injectors I get a lot of fuel smoke blueish whiteish only at first start up and if I shut it off for 20 min and turn it back on. After warmed up I can’t see the smoke but can smell it. Do you know what it could be ? I can’t get a mechanic to figure out what it is
Alexander , I have the same problem with my Volvo . Blueish smoke at startup and misfiring then after 5 minutes goes away . Did you ever find the cause for this issue ? Asking for my self I want to know . One mechanic told Me is just the injector and once the injector gets warm it stops . He said I don’t need to worry about it
While this might be "ok", it is not correct way to do the overhead adjustment on Volvo engines. When you finish, engine should have made 2 revolutions. So do Intake and Injector, then turn engine and do exhaust and engine brake, then turn again to do intake-injector and so on. Also, make sure cam mark is between two lines (not close to 1st or second but between them).
@@paulstruckrepair6016 I understand, and maybe you have done it 100000 times, I am saying way you are doing it is not the way Volvo does it, or recommends doing it.
@@paulstruckrepair6016I’m currently doing a overhaul on a Volvo d13 same engine anyways and I can’t bar the engine over by the alternator I was able to but once I kept adjusting the valves it got hard af to turn to the point where I can’t anymore.
Awesome work basically open heart surgery. If you own the truck you have to rely on the mechanic really giving a s($& because he could essentially just pop the valve cover and put it back on for the labor
Awesome Video!🎥
Good job . How to decide when to use a shim and when to adjust the nut and bolt to tighten the shimm?
you dont adjust the engine brake?
Great video brother I am new to your channel already subbed learning a lot about these Volvo engines thanks for the video God bless

Did you adjust engine brake as well what minute on the video?
Hi, How about the exhaust brake?
Do you help with valve adjustment?
Where are you located I need some work done on my volvo
Hey friend. Where can I buy the adjustments shim kit. That is not in Volvo dealer
Volvo sells the shims individually not as a kit
nice video man I just hate seeing people using a 700$ torque wrench to break stuff free
It’s not your tool so why do u care ?
If it's advertised of meting capable 100% possible it could be safe for the tool
كم رقم الشفره اللي تستخدم لعيار البلوف
Where did you get these sizes?

Exhaust valve isn't adjusted properly .hence the smoke

Arnes Kadic have you ever set timing on a d13? If you have you would know the mark has to be closer to the first mark for the most accurate adjustment
@@paulstruckrepair6016 have you ever done it? Did you get newes buletin on setting timing? If you did, you would know that it has to be in middle.

What sizes of filla gauge do you need
8 thousands for the intake valve ,39 thousands for the exhaust valve, and for flats for the injector,
What does that mean "for flats for injector"
@@Silvervwolfee the nut has six flats or sides. So you turn it 4 flats...I hope I explained it well
