The sound is freaking amazing, much better than the Sonys in my opinion. They have lossless audio but with a cord that costs 50$. My AirPods Max “disconnects/turns off” completely at random while in use, every time they do I have to reset them to factory settings. I’m not rich and the price made me rethink the purchase many times before pulling the trigger to actually buy them . I’ve now had them for a couple of years and even with all the cons mentioned above I couldn’t be happier, they are SO good and worth every penny. I’ve used them in many ways but today I use them mostly in front of my PC with the cord. (They still disconnects/shutting off randomly even with the cord) but I still love them.
My problem with I described above, “the disconnect” problem, I think I’ve solved it!! I had this problem for years, I finally learned that you can disassemble the headband from the cups with the help of a sim card removal tool, when I had done that I noticed some kind of oil/fluid looking stuff on the connector of the headband, “where the cups connects with the headband”, I wiped clean the connectors and reassembled it, now they have worked flawlessly for more then a week!!! I couldn’t find a fix anywhere on the internet or any reason why they behaved like they did, so if anyone has a similar problem try this above!’
The previous prediction for a new model was December last year if Max followed the same release schedule as the Pros… but being past that makes it seem that it’s a “maybe it will happen soon, maybe they will wait for when the Pro 3 is out or maybe they are silently phasing it out” I feel like the most likely at this point is to wait until the Pro 3’s come out at least, given that the Max still hold out on its own against the Pro 2’s (though not by nearly as much as the Pro 1). A big thing for this too is the battery health aspect, spacing out every 3 year works out with AirPods/AirPods Pro since they have such small batteries that wear out faster. AirPods Max is nowhere near as much.
I find it funny that I am watching this video with a pair of AirPods Max on my head. I bought them because I am a big Apple fan and even though they are expensive, I really like them for a lot of reasons. They have become my editing headphones and my around the house headphones. I think that they are totally worth the price if you compare them to actually comparable headphones once...

from someone who has both, Apple allows, borderline seamless usage on the phone however, if you have RUclips red and you were listening to a video in the background and you take your headphones off, RUclips will close itself. At least that’s what I’ve noticed on the iPhone13. Sony, however, may not be seamless, but allowing an app to customize your experience, has made a world of a difference in my opinion between the two I also really appreciate how you can turn off the Sony headphones and you cannot turn off the Apple headphones. The AirPod maxes require you to put the case on in order to turn them off, I’m bad at putting headphones and back into the case so if I leave my headphones out, the battery slowly drains when I’m using them and I really hate that with Sony. I’ll go without charging because I can turn them off when I’m not using them. There is no proofreading in this speech to text review. Cheers.

Sound is subjective and I like the way they sound but the main reason I got them is because they are hands down the best with transparency mode and noise cancellation. Every other pair I have ever tried had awful transparency where I sounding like I was talking to myself on a second delay or the noise cancellation would actually make you feel sick if you had a quiet song or the music outright stopped. If Apple put a type C port on them they would be better in every way compared to the examples shown here. The only downside compared to the other examples is the lightning port.

It will come with the AirPod max 2s set to release sometime next quarter 2024 2025 and when they do, Ill be getting them because it’ll be a nice addition to my iPad Pro m4
Huge respect for mentioning the bathys. It’s prob the only noise cancelling headphone that sounds good on an audiophile level
Stop making hot takes. Headphone development over the past couple years has been very minuscule and AirPods from a couple years ago can still be on par with some of the newest headphones. The AirPods Max are on the same level as the Sony 1000XM5 which is much newer.
No 🧢 detected. They are still like a 9-9.5/10 experience even 3 years later
@@jackhovatterexactly bro , they have the best craftsmanship iv have ever seen feel superior to anything else, they are solid aluminum and stainless steel
I switch between both headphones constantly, I love both sets. Both are great at noise cancelling, but Airpod Max is just better at Ambient mode.@@jackhovatter
On the same level is just false in so many ways
They still better than those headsets you mentioned imo.
The previous prediction for a new model was December last year if Max followed the same release schedule as the Pros… but being past that makes it seem that it’s a “maybe it will happen soon, maybe they will wait for when the Pro 3 is out or maybe they are silently phasing it out”
I feel like the most likely at this point is to wait until the Pro 3’s come out at least, given that the Max still hold out on its own against the Pro 2’s (though not by nearly as much as the Pro 1).
I use AirPods Pro’s outside of the house though. The AirPods Max stay inside the house.
i swear its the price that makes people hate on them and say they are “trash” but really even after n3 years they are amazing and go on par with the sony xm5 😭
All those mf’s at school thinking there soo cool with their MAX headphones 💀💀
No they don’t, you’re just concocting bc you’re jealous you don’t have enough money to buy them
@@iktn132Nah he’s not entirely wrong, Apple has a lot of influence in its sales simply due to brand recognition as opposed to actual specs and product quality. I ,for one, do buy my Apple products due to quality but the average person who owns something like an iPhone wouldn’t know what something like OLED or display refresh rate meant. Hell they probably don’t even understand what the difference between USB-C and Lightning is. So when it comes to literal children who own something like AirPods Max and use them in school, it’s definitely about showing off since there are a wide variety of better over ear headphones.
or maybe cuz they are also genuinely really good headphones 🤓
And at the gym 😂
@@Jorda5sfr. I don't know why people wear them at the gym I mean they aren't waterproof
Ive been using the Airpods Max since a couple of years now and I totally recommend. Ive used various other over ear headphones and none of them come even close to the Apple ones in terms of sound quality, noise cancelling, built quality and connectivity. And by the way, losless audio is useless for Bluetooth devices anyway so it doesnt make a difference. I think that they are totally worth the price if you compare them to actually comparable headphones once...
The Airpod Max had some of the highest RMA rate of any Apple product. I am sure if we see a Gen 2 its likely they wont look anything like Gen 1.
The Mac Pro of headphones🤔 And now, the VR headset. Do you see a pattern yet
isn’t this the same guy that stuttered a million times when he was asked what the smelliest fandom is
We need more RUclipsrs slating these headphones so they finally update them
The one thing that made me return mine was the inability of the Max to switch from my computer and phone seamlessly. Both my computer and phone are from Apple, so my Bose and Sony headphones shouldn’t switch more seamlessly between the two than the Max does, but they do.
I've had no issues switching from my Macbook to my phone with the Max headphones.
@@Ravensbite I could switch back and forth, but I had to do it manually. If I let them switch automatically, my headphones would just attach to my phone as soon as it was turned on, even if I was still watching something on my computer. With other headphones, I would have to stop my phone or computer to play from the other. Maybe mine were a fluke.
As someone who loves and appreciates audio and sound quality. It hurts reading these comments talking about theirs many cheaper options. Theirs a reason those are cheaper.
They sound great but yeah, the build quality on the cheaper ones sorta suck. The only issue I have with the APMs is the clamp force, other than that tho they’re great headphones
I have the AirPods Max and the Sony 1000 M5 and the Sony are way worse. Connecting to my iPhone, iPad or MacBook are a pain. The pass through mode sucks, the passive sound dampening sucks, but they are not as heavy which is a good thing
obviously, you are in the apple ecosystem, everything else is gonna suck if you are stuck in the apple ecosystem
@@happycamel39agree but I don’t have it with mine bang & olfusen h9 connect automatically to Mac and iPhone when turned on.
Even new devices that I never paired before know it
“I have only apple products and only their headphones don’t suck! 🤓” No shit. Do you not realise what you’re saying? Their products are made to be a pain to use with other brands, software issues, connectivity issues etc. You really have been sucked in.
@@mawangshallhang I have the Sony for work in the office and let me tell you they are not a pleasure to use with windows either. Previously I had Bose ones and they were much better sounding and connecting
I love AirPods Max noise cancelling feature it better than AirPods Pro
They seem cool, just too steep price wise
Rocking my XM5s, over 3.5k hours used so far in 11 months
£500 in the Uk still, I’ve just brought some,as long as you tweak the settings, they seem fine.previously using Bose comfort cheap at around £100 I’ve used for years almost impossible to break reasonable sound quality but no noise cancelling. So it just depends on what you’re willing to spend. I also have AirPods Pro. But I find in ear uncomfortable & easy to fall out when eating or walking.
Top tier noise cancellation though
from someone who has both, Apple allows, borderline seamless usage on the phone however, if you have RUclips red and you were listening to a video in the background and you take your headphones off, RUclips will close itself.
Cheers.
the noice cancellation is the best itw
A VID RIGHT AFTER THIS WAS TALKING ABT HOW GOOD THEY WERE 🙊🙊🙊
Bro I bought a car from a dude at a bar for $500 once before. Last me 4 years a daily driver and then I sold it to someone else for $600. Headphones ain’t never gonna be no wheels either. That’s too much for headphones.
I turned on transparency mode then I had trouble locating them.
Never had an issue since I nabbed these on day 1. Still in perfect condition (for me personally) I love em, paired up with some sweat resistant cuff sleeves?
Straight to the gym 😂 ijs, ijs
No wonder they were on sale on prime day at Walmart for 350$. I bought but I will return now.
The next video was talking about the quality of the AirPods Max💀
Only wired high quality headphones and a portable amp dac for me
“3 years ago”
Wtf i thought it came out 2023
Got the good old MX4’s, couldn’t be happier
What was the first alternative?
We all talked about the vision pro price and forgot about the air pods max proce
Yet I see people with them everywhere.
Dang! I just purchased mine from Amazon used Prime ($349). Love them so far, but it feels a bit heavy. Hoping I’ll get use to the weight ..,
What are those high end headphones called?
"Headphones are getting old? That makes them old!"
Wait for the new version end of year ;)
You can also still buy the apple dvd player from ~2010
Sound is subjective and I like the way they sound but the main reason I got them is because they are hands down the best with transparency mode and noise cancellation.
Yea i was planning on purchasing a 2nd airpods max for my daughter and i figured to just wait until the next one comes out
But it kinda becomes an accessory beacuse it looks so much better than the other headsets out there. Lookswise i only think marshall are on the same level. You can kind of use it as a part of your outfit
Nah he’s yappin the maxes are so fire
AirPods Pro 2 doesn’t support lossless audio on its own. It will only support lossless with the Apple Vision Pro
"Lossless audio" cmon now. You couldn't find enough valid criticisms for a 30 second short.
AUX CABLE. IT'S MISSING AN AUX CABLE.
They do have adapative spacial audio...
Well you can’t compare old products to newer ones, like they can’t predict the future.
The audio sounds damn near perfect on these headphones and they do support lossless audio that’s why the cost so much
I retuened mine the noise canceling pressure is obnoxious
Lossless audio is not available on any Apple’s Bluetooth, nor is it available in any headset when the signal is sent by Bluetooth.
LDAC is close, but still not it.
can get these used for around 230 on eBay now and in good shape (shows how many people did not like them). But still probably not worth it probably
Well, rumours have started to pop up from AirPods Max 2, with all the features, AND a decreased prize. Yes you heard it right.
Got mine but they have a problem where on some days they refuse to connect and I have to reset them and 1 time it freaked out major and wouldn’t do anythinf
I don’t think they’re gonna update it anytime soon tho
Ive been using the same pair of senisheser for about 5 years
I bought a pair 3 years ago, at the time I worked on a Mac at my office and used them on my windows pc at home for… well everything.
Long and short, these are my windows pc headphones and have been great since I got them.
I’m an over ear headphone person and once a year would have to buy a pair of $100-200 headphones because they would break. But the Max’s have a couple scuffs and that’s it.
I love the Max’s but I am a bit irritated to see that they were left behind so quickly, oh well. If they continue to last I will be happy with my purchase.
