@@brandonzaffke788 Not all states are the same, in Louisiana, which is where this occurred, you can change lanes in an intersection to pass a vehicle which is going slower. In WA state you can change lanes in an intersection with no laws governing this at all.

Not really, the old fool just got lucky that he pulled that on the right person for him. He had no right to make that turn through traffic. Had the cammer hit him, Mr. "Block the Road" would have been at fault. Sitting there taking is time, staring at the cammer with his window open...he was asking to get a deserved punch in the face. He simply was fortunate to not block the wrong person...

same, i've been honked at for waiting because of this reason and i just tolerate it because it's simply not worthy the potential collision, i've also had passengers ask me why i'm waiting and tell me to just go and one of those times that exact lane change thing happened immediately vindicating me, i just gestured at the car that passed and said "that right there is exactly why i wait;" to keep yourself safe on the road you have to pre-suppose that every single other driver you see on the road is a massive imbecile

It goes both ways. If you decide to pull out into the right lane when there's oncoming traffic in the left lane, that oncoming traffic has no way to know that you're aiming for the right lane. For all they know, you didn't see them and you intend to aim for the left lane, so they need to scrub speed or begin an emergency maneuver regardless. Life is easier for everyone if you just wait until there's no traffic in either lane before pulling out.
Also don't forget, it's the law to do so.
@@solandri69I assume there isn’t a lot of traffic where you live? I’d be sitting for 15+ minutes waiting to make a right turn out of my neighborhood. With that said, it is a risk, and we hope that people aren’t stupid enough to change lanes when they see someone wanting to turn right from a side street.

#3 The cammer was driving 63 mph in the slow lane and the other car changed lanes to pass on the left. The cammer then accelerated to 85 mph in the slow lane in order to intentionally block the other car from safely being able to pass. The cammer needs to get help with their ego/road rage issues as they are danger to everyone.

@@NeonFuzzleS420 what do you mean? first off, you can pass cars in any lane in the U.S. secondly, the Nissan that tried to overtake the cammer was not in the rightmost lane; they were in the second lane from the right and were passing traffic on the right, which is completely safe and reasonable.

Look again. That IS a parking spot. He just wasn't fully in it. Second sign is GREEN, showing that the truck did park in a parking spot. He also wasn't at fault either. Dumb, maybe, but not at fault. Lexus should've been paying better attention. He was responsible for his own side mirror being damaged.

Only idiocy the truck driver pulled was not making sure his truck was fully over and not considering traffic. You can see the light turn red (and yes, I am assuming the other direction has the same timing, which is most definitely the case here based on the behavior of everyone except the red light runner). At that time, the red light runner isn't even in the shot yet, first being visible several frames later. In your world, they were already across the stop line when the light changed to red? Had they been going 45 and not 55 for the 5 seconds before they stomped on the break there would have been an additional 73 feet of space. For every 5 MPH you are going it is 7 feet and 4 inches per second.
While I agree that cammer should have been going the speed limit, let's not give the other driver who just pulled out of that exit apparently without pausing or looking a pass.

#9 - that SUV had the right to the lane, it was your responsibility to yield. Certainly, they could have been smarter about when they changed lanes, but from a liability perspective, I believe that this one is on you.
I do recall from my driver's handbook that it is illegal to change lanes in an intersection, and this would be the reason why. If the lane is clear when the cammer was turning, the accident was caused by the SUV changing lanes whilst in an intersection.

Google this for your state, but where I live (Colorado) lane changes in an intersection are legal.

Definitely NOT an “intersection.” This is my hometown…Lafayette, La. They are turning onto Ambassador Caffrey across from Southwest Hospital, or whatever that hospital is named now as it has been probably 5 different names in 40 years. Our city is no different than everywhere else these days, horrible drivers who all believe THEY “know” how to drive. Everyone jumps to the outside lane from a turn, goes all the way to the passing lane immediately upon entering highways, tailgates…you name the traffic ordnance, we violate it! @jackreckeb430 it certainly did not appear to be a driveway. Now that I have read Adam's explanation about it being an exit/entrance to the hospital, it changes the scope of the accident. The cammer stated the lane was clear, and then it wasn't. It was just an accident.

9. Cammer is technically at fault there. You have to assume that someone may change lanes, and they do have the right of way,.
It’s illegal to change lanes within so many feet of an intersection. I don’t remember how many feet it is. But your right, cammer will likely be found at fault. All the video shows is them pulling into an occupied lane. They would need footage from a different angle to show the other driver changed lanes.
@@ribo451that would be true for an actual intersection but this is not one. If there was stop lights yes. But this guy is at a stop sign and the suv is not. Otherwise no one would ever be able to change lanes on an industrial/commercial area. It was only a lawful intersection for the cammer.
@@ribo451 They don't mean those kinds of intersections though. Otherwise you would never be able to make a lane change cause there are pullouts like that everywhere... They mean signaled intersections. Larger intersections, and they are usually marked with solid white lines between the lanes as you get closer to the stop lines. Cammer is definitley at fault, and I don't know why he thinks he is not even a little responsible for that??
@@ribo451 You're partial right. Its illegal to change lanes in a CONTROLLED intersection. That's intersections with stop lights or stop signs. This is a side street with zero traffic controls. Cammer is 100% at fault.
