Fantastic....Joey C is a monster as was Bob Berg. Both are giving it 110% as they always did. I find the negative and critical comments amusing and annoying. I'd love to see the folks who are harshly criticizing any of these cats do as good any day. Once I see and hear that I will let them off the hook but I know that day is never going to come. All four musicians here are playing their fucking heart out. Keep the negativity to Zero, folks......if you can't contribute anything but complaining and criticizing then you have just wasted your precious time and life force on something that will cause you to get sick in the future. Rest in peace dear Bob....one of the greatest saxophone players I know in the entire history of jazz.
Krysztof, thank you so very much for the amazing upload! Great playing of yours! Bob is one of my favorite saxophone players and he's been truly an inspiration throughout the years. How can I find the Acoustic Quartet's "Exciting Story"? Do you still have a copy of it? Cheers!
This is a wonderful group. It blows my mind that everyone plays these killer solos and there's only a smattering of applause. Hopefully it's because the audience is far away from the mics. Either way. Wonderful playing.
Except for the drummer losing the time early on, in the middle, and a few times at the end, this is a good gig. Bob is gaunt and weary but enjoying the Calderazzo cooking pot. his 'changes lines around around 5.20 are happening, and he cant resist his signature pentatonic lick, just after, and just after that. Music for the people !
Good players, but the music seems strained, they all trying too hard for it to flow and swing naturally. Perhaps it was the first chance they played together. Piano player, very much under McCoy's spell, actually has said all he has to say in a first chorus but kept going saying the same thing. Bob Berg was a great player, who did his best with Horace Silver and especially with Cedar Walton Quartet. This is far from his best.
Joey is definitely one of my favorite pianists of all time, he's very soulful and musical!

Year?
I'm not sure, but I was at Bob Berg’s concert in Kielce, Poland (OMG, such a star in my town!). So this TV concert could be from 1995-2000.
@@lisyliski A w którym roku byłeś na tym koncercie?
@@jeshkam 1994-7. Dokładniej nie dam rady.
DATE?
whats the name of the tune?
Summer Night, an old standard
Stop comparing Bob Berg to Brecker, just cuz they have bright sounds. Bob played a lot more melodically
J’en reste sans voix ….. pfffff
