Hi Peter, yes if you’re keeping your eufy upstairs it will need to be docked. Otherwise it will clean and then search for the docking station but once mapped it won’t come across the stairs it will stay within its boundaries. Until you bring it close to its dock then it will return. 🙌🏼 I hope this helps.
