The games was a critical failure with average to low reviews and was never heard from again... Until the creator of Pizza Tower for some reason asked to add Mort into the game as a power up for the stage Funny Farm as a special guest. This is what caused this whole special guest art thing.

part of what i adore about pizza tower is how its old-school cartoonishness can make fanart like this easier. the entire point of these freeze-frame level cards is showin off exaggerated motion n expressions, so it's actually *good* when peppino or the other character you're tryna draw in this new style looks a lil wrong! rly takes away a lotta the stress of tryna get it perfect when the style revolves around bein charmingly crude
I'mma take this as a sign that we're gonna get a ton more fanart of this, especially since the style is very MS paint-y, so even artists that make normally very wonky art will fit right in!

Some of these titles card art are absolutely amazing some of them totally fit in the universe for example eds and some straight out of crash twinsanity artstyle just look peppino and spamton shaking and looking these technical issue screen that just crash twinsanity crash and cortex game over screen
I love how every single one of the titlecards look so zany and wacky while still keeping to the source material. Them Sam and Max and Skullgirls titlecards got me the most
