Great video Si. I was spoilt for finds that day. Thanks for inviting me along! x
It was a pleasure mud bud!
Sometimes I'm gutted I moved away from London, you're lucky to have your passion on your doorstep :)
I love when you do things together and with other friends. Seems so fun to laugh together.
I know in theory that the Thames is a massive river, but when you show these sorts of vids, it really brings it home. It’s so cool to be able to share these outings with you all. Thanks! Especially since I’m unable to get out or do much per being my mom with Alzheimer’s primary caregiver. Your vids really help take my mind away for a refreshing bit, and my mom likes to watch them too! She especially likes Si’s accent!
Similar situation for me. I’m caregiving for my husband who has Ataxia. These videos are so interesting and fun to watch. I had no idea how large the river is! Our Chicago river is a tiny creek compared to the Thames! Thank you for such great content!
You guys are much more than mere mudlarkers. Environmentalists, volunteer using your own time, money and skills to help your community and city, I've seen compassion and caring about the most mundane thing such as a one eyed doll that begs to join the other Thames orphans, or the beat up metal ships lantern that filled with light once again. It is all so magical. And, it's all done with a smile.
Aw thanks Sandy
Highest praise for those MVS guys and all of the services they provide and to those who's lives they have changed!
I love waving back at people! When I was a little girl and we visited Grandma’s farm on Sunday, after running around and climbing the apple trees, we would occasionally sit in the front yard under the big tree and wave at the rare car driving past. We loved it when they would wave back.
What a wonderful experience. Looks like the two of you had a blast. Shout out to Duncan and Frank - what a great organization. Love all the finds especially the lead types. Nicola may have to share her pie recipes!
What a beautiful day on the Thames! Simon and Nicola together is always fantastic! Well done both of you learning how to drive the boat! And of course lovely finds! Cheers!
Cheers Cindy! 👍🏻🐾🧡
I love it when Sci and Nick do a collab together. 😊
Nicola really should market a signature line of stripey shirts. I’d buy one.
Should have known Nicola would know her way around a good pie and how to decorate them. They looked delicious. Picnic food is always good, especially the homemade stuff. Your finds were great. Had me sighing. I used to live a five min walk from Wandsworth Bridge. Ah, memories.
Cool! Cheers!
I loved this episode. Wish we had someone here that could teach river boating on the North Saskatchewan River. I want badly to get out on the River but feel intimidated by it. It is a fickle river near Edmonton because the depth is subject to the mountains and the dam up River. I almost lost a pair of pants once that I had thought were far enough away from the waters edge but the water level had snuck up on them while I was busy rockhounrding😜😁. Even though the other finds were cool my favorite is the match striker. So good to see you and Nicola out hunting together again.
What’s the secret pie ingredient 😄😄😂😂 lol!! Nicolas pendant is lovely, so much detail. Love the ointment pot. Lovely video Simon ... sorry I mean, Captain Simon.
Love when you two team up to "lark" together. Thanks Si and Nicola. All the best from Michigan 😊
Michigan👍
its so nice of frank and duncan (and the other of the mvs) to volunteer teaching their boat handling skills. i wonder how many tight spots they saved people from getting into with their expertise?
it must be exciting getting to search new, hard to get to seldom if ever searched territory!
Simon you always have 'Luck In The Muck' just being in Nocola's company. What a lovely, intelligent woman.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your fantastic finds!!! Love watching Si and Nic digging in the muck to find treasures together!!! As always the fantastic duo of luck in the muck, a most excellent team!!
Giving the ole' legs an airing there I see Simon.....first flash of the season?
Had to be done. Haha
@@Sifinds And I thought mine were white.

Great to see any volunteer folks helping out with navigating and boating! And wow -- the fastest way to travel in London, zipping down the Thames in a boat!!! :-)
Great isn’t it. Cheers pal! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Wonderful video Simon, and I didn't know you were a graphic designer that is so cool. Real nice thing those guys are doing for the community too.......Happy hunting

Pretty cool to see some familiar London sites from the water. Plenty of nice finds today along with a bit of history. Thanks for the video 👍
That was so awesome! You guys should do that again!!!!
Now you've got a line on transportation! Martine Voluntary Service seems a terrific organization, and nice guys. You're putting London's rep to shame with all the sunny weather.
How fun to get some boating lessons! You never know when you might need such skill! Getting a couple lessons then you can rent a skiff to search the lesser searched foreshore! Loved today’s lark!
A very different view of London when you take the river trip.
Lots of researchable finds, fun to put the old deer stalker hat on and get on the computer just like Sherlock would do 😉
My two favourite mud larking people the finds. where brilliant what a beautiful day the boat ride was awesome.
Great finds!! What a great way to help people who are down and out. It was so nice to hear how the two gents helped that one man in rehab and how the man would’ve been at home in bed but instead, he was out on the water. That’s so great!!! While you were talking to the two gents I was noticing how fast the water was moving. Incredible!!
Great video SI!!🌊🐬

Simon, we have an organization like that here in the US, its the Coast Guard Aux. and they teach water safety, help in rescues, education and social projects. If you own a boat or even a canoe, you must have their class on safety. So its nice to see our cousins across the sea. As well as some great finds. Kit and Caboodles found a lion pot and several pieces. The lion faces are applicated and are easily removed. But they are still looking for a complete one. Love the tour of the Thames.
Nice one Mary!
Looks like it was a great day Si.
Glad to see you and Nicola learning the ins and outs of running a boat mate.
I enjoy this greatly when I was a teen in Amesbury Massachusetts USA I found many old bottles dumps found lots ot things.bottles, figurines, dishes, bowls, cups, locks, keys, jewelry, jugs, coins and a model T hubcap
The boat program sounds wonderful great idea
Thank you! 'loved the tour today.
You and Nicola are a mud larking force! I love a day out on the Thames. Thanks for bringing me along all the way from Oregon ❤️
Thanks so much!
At 34:55, the disks with holes in the center could be check rings. They are used as spacers for electric lamp necks that sit on ceramic or glass bodies. The center pipe, which carries the wire, is usually threaded to accommodate the socket and fits through the hole.
Wonderful video Si, looks like you and Nicola had a grand time. Lovely finds and tasty lunch on the foreshore. Thank for taking us along.
Great episode! My two favorite mudlarking buddies! And so happy to see that Nic got a new jacket to keep her warm and dry!
Good video. I liked the talk about volunteering at the end ❤️
Captain Si, another great Video.
I like the narration of scenery you pass on the way to your " spot" as well explaining the things you find.
You must work non stop all day long.
Just know that your long hours not in vane .
At least in my book.
Thank you
Simon and Nicola,my favorite mudlovers.😁😁💗

What a fun trip w. some great 'men of the Thames' & Nic! 💙
Hello from Denmark 🌸🌱
Hi guys from a wet NZ.
Good selection of wee finds today.
Such a nice day to be out mudlarking
The views from the boat are pretty damn good.
Funny how you and Nicola both found pipe stems by the same person !
Thanks for the adventure ,
See you next week, cheers.
Right! Thanks 👍🏻🐾🧡
Cracking vid with some lovely finds. Well done all involved.
Olá from Brazil Wanderful finds thanks 😸 sucesso sempre
Unique symbols associated with each saint show up in lots (most?) older religious iconography. Many are still instantly recognizable today: X-shaped crucifix for St. Andrew, a woman holding out a veil will be St. Veronica, etc. - St. Peter's symbol is the Keys of the Kingdom (Heaven).
Si, your glass rod could be a glass cane for making beads, or doing lamp work. The Battersea Rail Bridge is beautiful. Great job Nick and Si on powering the motor. Lovely finds. Have a great rest of the week!
Please thank Frank and Duncan...what delightful men and volunteers on the waters of London 🚤🌊💦💟💟
You all need to try out those old school mudlark wooden shoe things that the Mudpies wear.
