I’m sure you’ve probably figured it out by now, but for those that haven’t…Regarding the modifier frame…mine was the same. It’s a tight fit, and I also thought it didn’t fit, but after a few attempts I finally got it to pop on. One edge of the frame has an indentation, that side is married up with the side of the Lume Cube 2.0 that has the logo.
Thank you. I will give it another try.
Or drop the frame into very hot water for a few minutes, then it expands and will fit. I’ve never removed mine once fitted.
WOW, now that is some work around, Maggie! I am glad, and sad, to know many others have encountered the same issues as me. Hard to believe the product was designed so poorly 🧐
@@PeterHerget I just got this for Christmas, and I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it a poor design. Once I got my frame on I'm not sure I'd have a need to remove it. If not using a modifier, the frame doesn't interfere with the light. Being a press fit probably saved a lot on manufacture costs and complexity compared to either a latch system (more parts to break) or integrating it into the body (necessitating a larger overall design).
They definitely need to be more up front about the amount of force needed to press it on but it's a set and forget item now that mine is installed. Looking forward to see what I can do with it!
@@Nareimooncatt Thanks for the comment, Narei. They shipped me a replacement frame and I need to give it a try sooner than later. I may need to acquire a rubber mallet to get the modifier frame to fit correctly...
That’s bright!
Thanks, and yes, it is a quite a bright light for the size.
Any update from circular?
Sometime near the end of August my ring "should" ship unless there are more delays.
@@PeterHerget dang hopefully sooner than later
That would be… EPIC! I called Circular and practically begged them to ship me a ring last month, nope, Kickstarter supports were Batch 1 😅😕😟
If you never managed to fit the frame, place it face down on your desk with the curve to the bottom of the lume cube and just apply pressure. It’s actually really easy when you now how :p
I appreciate your "positivity" but the frame I was sent was not built correctly and it simply did not fit "easily" onto the light. A replace part was sent and it will unboxed and filmed soon to see how good LUME is with Customer Service, manufacturing, and their designs...
Nice review of the portable Lume light👍
Great light and like how small it is!
Yep, it is quite portable and I use it in most of my videos.
Ohp
What does that abbreviation mean?
@@PeterHerget nothing, you said it in the video a couple times
Okay, I will have to rewatch my own video for those three letters don't ring a bell 😁
@@PeterHerget i think I miss heard you said whoops
Is the Lume Cube still the best compact flash for an iPhone?
It is pretty good, but I would recommend checking B&HPhoto website to see if there is something new
@@PeterHerget Thank you.
And you... most welcome!
@@PeterHerget I ended up buying the Profoto C1 Plus. Should arrive in a couple of days.
The Profoto C1 Plus, eh? I hope you like it. Are you going to do an unboxing video and review it three weeks later?
