Loved your parade of lovelies. I had a MAJOR milestone birthday in '22 and decided that if I don't majorly increase my WIPS, the odds are that a huge number of my beautiful patterns will never get touched. That saying of too many WIPS, too little time is very true. So -- Do I want finishes? Oh yes - my framer and I are becoming fast friends. But I've had a total change of outlook. I'm truly enjoying just picking them up. If I finish, I'll consider that a bonus. So just enjoy every stitch you make and try to not even think about how many WIPS you have. (Not that you asked for my thoughts, but there you are. LOL!) Steph

I know I shouldn’t worry about having so many WIPs and I should just have fun stitching what I want, that’s the kind of advice I need to hear sometimes! I have a feeling the winds will change and I’ll end up on the path of many starts soon enough! I just have to give “discipline” a good go for the month of January before I run off the rails! 😂 I love your advice, keep it coming 👍☺️💕

So glad to see you and somewhat yourself. I lost my mom when I was 23, it’s so hard, even 30 odd years later. I’ll still send some prayers your way.
I adore your beauty and beast. Can’t wait to see it done.
I hope to meet you at the Queen City retreat! Your videos were the first flosstubes I ever watched. I now rarely use a paper chart and I make my own floss drops too!

It’s amazing how the new patterns come along and the older ones seem to get forgotten yet we still want to stitch them. If only there was more time and this was a faster hobby. We have several dimensions kits that are the same. Reach out if you ever want to work on any of them together. Not that we will finish, but we will have some motivation. 💜 elisa

Wonderful WIP parade! Thanks for sharing!😊

You make me want to drop everything and keep stitching! I don’t know how you manage to stitch so much, well done for finding the focus! May i ask: do you do all your full coverage in full cross? For example, on 28ct do you do 2 over 2 full cross? I’ve just started my first massive full coverage and I’m stitching on 32ct one over one tent and I find it far too small even with magnifying light. Which puts me right off stitching on it. Beautiful projects!

    • @NeedleberryStitcher
      @NeedleberryStitcher  Год назад +1

Thank you for the kind comment! When I work on 25 ct and 28 ct full coverage I do one over one full cross. The trick for me since my eye sight is not so good - I use MagEyes! The magnification is excellent and I can see everything quite well. I can understand how 32 ct might be difficult, and I haven’t attempted anything smaller than 28 ct for full coverage. Maybe give MagEyes a try, you can find them on Amazon. I did a video a while back (FlossTube Mania 2022 video about 8 months ago) and did a segment on my MagEyes. Or maybe consider restarting on a different fabric (25 or 28 ct) if you aren’t too far along already.
      Happy stitching! ☺️💕

Usually I work on just a handful, 3 or 4. I force myself to pick something different to work on once in a while but then end up back working on the main 3-4 current favorites. Yay for a WIP Parade!! Gonna try not to make this the lengthiest comment in existence, but no promises 😂
I’m also going to be trying to touch all of my WIPs next year, though I won’t be doing WIPGO to do so; the idea of the board sounds great for organizing, but I know it would just stress me out!!
Instead I’ll be doing a “Random WIP Weekend” where I’ll let a wheel decide what I’m working on for those 1-2 days, and I’ll pull out any projects that have been stitched off the wheel so I don’t get any dupes before going through everything at least once!
Love all of the Teddy bear projects ❤ Bears are my favorite animal, and the teddies are so stinkin’ cute!
ALSO I CACKLED OVER DANCING TURKEY! It was so unexpected, I couldn’t stop myself 😂
The comment about “being really good at starting things, but just need to finish them” has never hit so close to home before 😅 I feel so called out, LOL.
Sabrina has gotten some amazing progress!! Wow, she is gorgeous, wonderful stitching ❤
I’ve come to the conclusion that Stitch Maynia is great once every like 5 years; anything more than that is asking for insanity 😂
I can’t wait to see your Princess in the Snow start!! Such a pretty pattern! Did you decide which fabric to start her on yet?
We need to start some kind of SSMC (or just SS) SAL! I have vague plans to focus on my current one (Tategoto) in 2024.
The bear in the bassinet is soooo sweet 🥺🥺🥺 Incredibly adorable!!
PHEW! Thanks for the WIP Parade, I love all of your projects and can’t wait to see what ones you pull out first in the new year 😍
I’ve heard a few flosstubers talking about using 2023 as a “Focus on a Finish” year, and thought that a neat idea! I have a few small stitches that I could definitely knock out if I tried, so maybe I’ll join in as well. 😊
Thanks again, and have a happy new year!! 🎊

    • @NeedleberryStitcher
      @NeedleberryStitcher  Год назад

I think you win for longest comment! 🤭😂
Thank you so much for sharing your plans and ideas, I love hearing everyone’s thought process for how to tackle lots of WIPs! Focus on a finish sounds like a great idea! And your random weekend wheel spins will be so much fun! For the Princess of the Snows ai ended up going with cracked ice (blue/white, no purples in it) because it’s 28 ct and will be easier to fit the beads, also I think the design will stand out well. I liked both, just hard to decide. I’d love to start a SSMC SAL! Let’s chat and see if we can narrow down a theme and eventually a design that we both like!
Have a very Happy New Year!! ☺️💕

I'm so scared to watch this. My wallet can't handle everything you are going to enable me with. See, just with WIP one, I'm like hmmmmmm...I'd buy that if it didn't have so many french knots. Maybe it's not that bad. Maybe I should just buy it so I have it. Ugh.
Oh no. The no count is going to be beautiful, but I need the structure. Don't make me decide where the stitch goes!!!!
Stop!!!!!! We have such similar taste. I'm not buying anything!!!!
How did I not remember you had Celtic Summer's Needlepaints as well? I paused for a long while on that one so I could see if my dye job for the one I was missing was similar to what it really should've been. I still don't know.
I thought I'd be safe with the full coverage section. I'm not looking to start any of those. Then you showed the Vincent Fleming and then you showed the dragon one. I sat on my hands.
    Birds in Winter!!!!!
I want to start A Tisket A Tasket. Too bad Vellum is backordered. Alas, one day.
I loved this despite all my whining that you were enabling me. Thanks for sharing!! ~J

      You are hilarious!! 😂😂
I definitely prefer the structure in stitching also, we’ll see how the no-count goes! Which Needlepaints color did you dye to match? If I have that one (I think I have all the ones for Celtic Summer) I can send you some to compare to if you like! 👍😃
That’s too bad that Vellum is on back order, it’s hard to predict which PTP fabrics will be available and when… there are a couple that I’ve been waiting on for months, but I’m sure they will be back eventually. Whatever will I work on in the meantime?? 😂🤣 Happy stitching my friend!! 💕

@@NeedleberryStitcher I don't know which one I dyed. I believe the symbol is "s". Helpful, right? I appreciate the offer, but it's too late to do anything about it now so maybe I'd rather not know how well I did or didn't dye it.
I hope your PTP fabrics turn up quicker than Vellum has. Ale was another I waited for way longer than I thought I'd have to. I've read the wait times are coming up on a year for PTP!!!!! I'm in the same boat. "Whatever will I work on in the meantime??" LOL!
