Notre Dame fan and wish Dabo the best it's really hard to not like the guy actually hard not to love the guy. Clemson is very lucky to have him. Take care of the man. He is a great leader and molder of men.
I'm a Bama fan and I hate losing more than anything in the world but I would rather lose to Dabo than anyone else in the country. He just feels like one of Bama boys. I love this guy
Colorado buffalo fan & Clemson tiger fan. Have been my 2 teams since 1985/86. Definitely a Dabo fan. Congratulations Clemson on a dominating National championship win over Bama.
I’m a bama fan but we all love dabo, all of us bama fans have always thought we would hire dabo after saban but I don’t think he would leave Clemson for Alabama. It’s not about money to him he loves Clemson. I also think though if he did leave Clemson its be for Alabama since it’s his alma mater. He’s a GREAT Coach and a class act. He also whooped our asses Monday night and completely out coached our whole staff. I still think sabans the greatest but Dabo is top notch. Roll Tide!
Austin Scott most Clemson fans that know anything are awfully fond of Alabama due to the coaches your school has produced for Clemson. Dabo, Danny, Howard etc
Dabo will be the next Bama coach, bank it..now, Clemson is doing a great job due to asst coaching stability, OC 4yrs, DC 6yrs, Bama 1 maybe 2 yrs and your hired away, that wins games..
David, they have one thing to offer....Bama's where it all started for him. Nothing like being a National Champion as a player and a coach at the same place. Either way, Dabo's first class above all else! ROLL TIDE!
@@6.8SuperDutyDriver that's true but Clemson is also a place where he won not one but two national championships as a head coach and the first time in history where he took Clemson to a 15-0 season.
It’s impossible to hate this man. Like Saban, there is just something about how they carry themselves that makes it hard to find a reason to dislike them.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Love ol' goofball Dabs, but,......no..........unless he can keep the magic of retaining the good coaches on his staff he will be in trouble. He is great at cheesin' with the teenage boys he recruits but actually having to game-plan, and make in-game decisions....Xs & Os coaching just isn't his strong suit.
I respect the man, but I don't think God really care's about football, or any sports for that matter. He/It/She has more important things to worry about than guiding a man to a football program.
God gives us the desires of our hearts if we acknowledge him in all our ways and one of desires is football and not everyone is born with the God Given talent to play so you
@@chuckgober9620 . Sorry but God doesn't give people talent to catch an oval shaped ball so they can run fast to the other end of a field that s 100 yards long. It's just no the way he designed us. He/She/It gave us the ability to kill for food,/survival, think independently and procreate(in its basics). He/She/It wasn't thinking....hmmmm...I will make some of my children good a catching a ball. It's just not the way it is in real life. This so called "God Given talent" isn't given by God. A good Receiver has very good hand / eye coordination but that can also be used in other things beside football, so it's not a God Given talent that he was made to specifially play football. Anyways. I can go on and on, but I just find it amusing all this God Given stuff. Respond if you like, but I'm pretty much done and won't read/replay. I just wanted to give my two cents.
I'll throw in a pastor's perspective (who graduated college five minutes from Clemson at SWU). I agree completely that God doesn't favor one athlete or team over another. If it were so, only the truly godly would win. Both teams in this year's championship had young, Christian quarterbacks. Both couldn't be blessed with victory, so the only logical conclusion for me to come to is that God remains impartial in our competitions. I love Clemson football and I wear my gear up here in PA proudly because of what Dabo has done. Still, I don't believe that God directly gave Dabo success (or any other athlete or team). In other words, these national titles were not God-ordained because, as you stated, God doesn't have a favorite team, I'm assuming. I do, however, strongly believe that in loving God, people are given attributes which help lead to success. In Dabo's case, I would say that through faith, God has blessed him with a love for people, humility, vision, organizational and relational skills, wisdom, etc. that have translated into success. So, pretending I'm a very theologically precise Dabo, I wouldn't say that I won because God made it so. I would say that God gave me the tools I needed to win and I used them for His glory. Strict Calvinists may disagree with me here and that's ok. We are only arguing about the means as the end is the same. But I would summarize by stating my overall belief that God gives us certain attributes and our faith put into action gives those attributes life. He also gives us a certain contentment that allows us to persevere even when we aren't successful.
Funny how Everyone wants the next Saban so they hire away his asst coaches, 1 or 2 yrs and gone, no one seems to want the next Dabo so he has had asst coaching stability..that wins games, just shows how great of a coach Saban really is..and before Clemson fans get too caught up, Dabo WILL be the next ALABAMA coach, bet it, Bama his home for him just like SC is home for you..but that will be years away, Saban is nowhere near finished.
nobody gets his assts because none of them want to leave...great atmosphere at Clemson (at the university and to raise a family in that community), great working environment, he doesnt grind them into the ground like Saban, and he gets them paid well. I read an article that flat out said that, how they just dont want to leave a good thing that they all have. Venables should have been gone probably at least 4 or 5 times by now but loves it there and loves working for Dabo. i think its awesome in this day of leave for money as soon as you can. so many coaches have no loyalty or desire to build something special in one place, guys like Bobby Bowden and Frank Beamer and all the assts that stayed with them for a long time. you may be right about him eventually leaving for Bama, it will be interesting when Saban is ready to retire.

Also cool that that spot was number 88 and that was his old playing number..
