Honestly, this has made my workflow SO MUCH better, and saved me heaps of disc space too. Also, recently I needed to go back and reopen a library to change an edit and re-export, and everything was there as I needed it and I was able to complete it no problems - the way I used to archive and store things meant I would have really struggled to do that. Thanks Nolan!

    Tips:
    1. Turn off background rendering.
    2. Choose an external storage location for the cache. In other words choose a storage location outside of the Library.
    3. Generate optimized media or proxy media only when necessary. As with cache choose an external location.

Another tip is to delete the render files. Go to the package contents and then select the video you're working on and go to render files and go to the "High Quality Media" When I delete all those files I have another 20 gigabytes to work with. Its so helpful just make sure your project is backed up before doing that.
