Great, honest & genuine review Loyd as always thank you, can't help but feel the vest is the product of a 'brain storm' meeting ...."we haven't got a race vest have we....we should get one out there quick" sadly as you say the swish will still see a reasonable number of them sell. I just bought an Evadict Unisex Trail Running Hydration Gilet 5L (which is about 175 grams) as well as a quiver (which attaches to the back of the gilet) from Decathlon. Both totalled up to less than £40. Planning to use it for an upcoming 100k ultra. Did a dry test with it loading it up with the mandatory items (which require 2 space blankets and a collapsible bowl, among other things) for the event. I also added a 1L hydration bladder to the rear pouch although this pack is not intended for one. It’s a bit tight with everything on it but looking good. I’ve yet to test it because the trails are off limits at the moment. One thing I like about this design is that I don’t have to remove the gilet when I want to attach or remove the trekking poles to the pack. Can be done on the move. With the Nike, the runner would need to have quite a dexterous pair of hands to put back the poles. Not something I would like to do when I’m 60km into the race and my arms are getting noodly. Btw, this gilet has 12 pockets. Add one more of you attach the quiver (it one biiiiig pocket 😄) to it.
Sounds like a great pack for the money! Decathlon make so really great value running kit that's for sure 👌 Maybe I should get to review? Thanks for watching the channel I hope you enjoyed it 🙏
Yes I did enjoy it. It was your channel that swayed me to get the Saucony Peregrine 10 but it’s put on hold at the moment since the trails are closed at my area. As for reviewing the evadict 5L, I don’t think that’s necessary because boatloads of people visit that store every day. I’m sure they would find what they need on their own. 😅
@@kssrider6766 That's great about the Peregrine 10, I hope the trails open soon so you can test them out 👍 No I thought I'd get a pack to show viewers what you can get for a fraction of the cost of the Nike Gilet! I know Decathlon is a well know store but you'd be amazed how many people don't know how good some of their kit is 😊 I've just looked at the pack online and it looks really good! Does it come with bottles?
Run 4 Adventure ~ It’s only the vest/gilet. Bottles are not included. I like this gilet because it’s very compact and light. If I need to carry a bit more stuff, I will combine it with a Salomon Pulse. I’ve used a 10L for ultras before and I tend to carry way more stuff than I need. This won’t allow it. Haha!

No worries really glad you enjoyed it 👍 It's definitely no more than 3ltrs but there's no information on the vest on the Nike website? No even a size chart? 🤔 Totally agree it does look like a Prototype! A big disappointment 😕 Thanks for watching the channel and don't forget to subscribe to keep up to date with future content 🙏

I have no basis, but my feeing with the growing popularity of Nike Trail, is Nike corporate took over. in my mind the Trail division went from this offshoot cool subdivision that had more creative control over the apparel/marketing (vest included, the old Kiger vest was good) example was the limited releases with SanFran Run Co and the product was awesome. But something has changed, good example is their latest apparel, looks nice but not well thought out. Bought the Phenom Elite Trail pant, you cant even get your foot through the ankle holes, it’s like giving birth to your foot, Nike Trail pros had no input on this, The new Nike Trail hat logo peels off the front and the windbreaker misses many features you would hope from a $$ jacket. The savings grace is the shoes, Kiger 5/6 is good. WH6 is good despite some instability and by all accounts, Pegasus Trail 2 is really good. But the overall brand seems to have been cheapened by Nike corporate.
I totally agree that Nike corporate have taken over the trail department! The trail gilet really isn't great and by the sounds of it the clothing is terrible 😔 I think saying the Wildhorse 6 has some stability issues is a bit of an understatement! It is very unstable on tech terrain and the level of traction on some wet rock is not great either! I'm just about to do a 200 mile review for the Wildhorse 6 and again I've been disappointed 😔 It start of quite positive but I actually stopped running the shoe on technical trails because I lost confidence in the shoe. I'm hoping the Pegasus trail 2 is better🤞 On a plus note I'm loving the Pegasus 37 road shoe 👍 Thanks for watching the channel and taking time to leave a comment 🙏
Just got in the Nike Kiger 4.0. Awesome vest..my only issue was the straps and plastic connectors. Left a nasty rub on my stomach after 10miles. I only had it one day, Glad you can move the straps up and down. I've only had the vest one day and the Kiger DOES do that. Hopefully, I wont get another rub from the vest... Anyone else have this issue? I was thinking of putting duct tape on the problem areas on the straps.
I personally think theres much better running vest for a lot less money than the Nike Kiger 4 👍 I can't believe Nike are charging £179 for that vest!! 😲 I've run in Salomon vests for years and I've never had any rubbing from any of them. I really don't think you should have to duck tape a new running vest to stop it rubbing, that's not a great vest 👎 If that continues I'd send it back! Thanks for watching the channel it's really appreciated 🙏
@@Run4Adventure that was my thought this morning. You'd think with all the elites nike has signed, and for what they're charging. They would have that issue covered. I love the vest and features. Typical nike move. Charge a lot, without eliminating obvious issues.
Unfortunately they don't get their sponsored runners involved in the development of the trail kit they produce!? Their athlete's are just given kit to run in 🤔 I've never really understood the Nike Trail running department. With all the resources they have at their finger tips they could produce some fantastic kit but I always find it very disappointing 😔
thanks Loyd, I was quite interested in this one as first off it looks a great value pack with all the features, but as the review went on it does look like someone, who doesn't run, was given a number of pockets and some material and told to put it together for under £100. Phone pocket inside under your water pouch?? Seriously?! Come on Nike! I think they blew the R&D on the vapour fly!
It is shocking how bad this Pack is!! Definitely been put together in an office by people who've never run with a pack on 😒 It's crazy that a company like Nike that's has all the resources available to them can produce such a poor piece of running kit! 😳 Thanks for watching 🙏
@@Run4Adventure One thing also dawned on me during this review. You must be the only RUclipsr, or at least in minority, who actually show the kit in use during their review which shows both good and not so good points. It's great to actually see how the kit performs and not just hear! Nice one Loyd
@@DartmoorPaul Cheers Paul thanks its appreciated 🙏 We try to be as informative as possible in our reviews, obviously it takes a lot more time and effort but I think it's worth it. Did you watch the review Fadil!? 🤔 I wouldn't get any size, it really is a bad running vest 👎 There's much much better packs in the market for the same or less money. Check out our review on the Harrier kit and the Salomon Active 8 set 👍 Hope this helps!
Ive just run a 5km in this vest First issue was it felt like i had massive breasts flapping around in front. Its because the material is so stretchy, everything in the pockets just bounce away from your body, secondly every time i went to bite the drink bottle nozzle it nozzle wasn’t there. The bottle always slipped down into the pocket. Pretty disappointed and will send the vest back.
You should've watch my review first Steve it would've saved your disappointment! 😊 It's a terrible running pack and I can't believe this is the best Nike can do! Such lazy development from Nike, they couldn't be bothered to develop it or test it 👎 Just throw something together and people will buy it because its Nike! 😠 Sorry for your disappointment and thanks for watching the channel I hope you enjoyed it 🙏

Their athlete's are just given kit to run in 🤔
I've never really understood the Nike Trail running department. With all the resources they have at their finger tips they could produce some fantastic kit but I always find it very disappointing 😔
@@Run4Adventure same. thanks for the chat/interaction
No worries 👍
thanks Loyd, I was quite interested in this one as first off it looks a great value pack with all the features, but as the review went on it does look like someone, who doesn't run, was given a number of pockets and some material and told to put it together for under £100. Phone pocket inside under your water pouch?? Seriously?! Come on Nike! I think they blew the R&D on the vapour fly!
It is shocking how bad this Pack is!! Definitely been put together in an office by people who've never run with a pack on 😒
It's crazy that a company like Nike that's has all the resources available to them can produce such a poor piece of running kit! 😳
Thanks for watching 🙏
@@Run4Adventure One thing also dawned on me during this review. You must be the only RUclipsr, or at least in minority, who actually show the kit in use during their review which shows both good and not so good points. It's great to actually see how the kit performs and not just hear! Nice one Loyd
@@DartmoorPaul Cheers Paul thanks its appreciated 🙏
We try to be as informative as possible in our reviews, obviously it takes a lot more time and effort but I think it's worth it. There's a lot of people out there just churning out video reviews but I kind of find that point less 😊
Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting 👍
I am 6.1, what size should I get ???
Did you watch the review Fadil!? 🤔
I wouldn't get any size, it really is a bad running vest 👎
There's much much better packs in the market for the same or less money. Check out our review on the Harrier kit and the Salomon Active 8 set 👍 Hope this helps!
how do u wash it?
Cold wash or by hand 👍
So I guess I stuck with my salomon vest
I'd definitely stick with the Salomon vest 👍😂
So funny, won’t be buying that then. Thanks for saving us all the time and money.
No problem Ian glad we could be of service! Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Ive just run a 5km in this vest
First issue was it felt like i had massive breasts flapping around in front.
It's a terrible running pack and I can't believe this is the best Nike can do! Such lazy development from Nike, they couldn't be bothered to develop it or test it 👎
Just throw something together and people will buy it because its Nike! 😠 Sorry for your disappointment and thanks for watching the channel I hope you enjoyed it 🙏
☮️ ✌🏼
really you need to give it less points...
As great as many Nike shoes and their innovation, their running packs are always a disappointment. They need to learn from Salomon, Ultimate Direction and the likes.
Yep I totally agree! Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Run 4 Adventure you are most welcome, always a pleasure to support someone who put in effort to make a honest, unbiased video, and will always click “like” after watching, especially in times like this now.
Thanks for your kind words 🙏
$100 for a prototype? hahaha! a locally made $30-$40 vest here in the Philippines offers the same, if not more, features. that's a flimsy product, total waste of money :D
😂😂😂
It is a bit ridiculous Jerico and to be honest very disappointing!
Thanks for watching the channel, hope you're keeping safe and well in the Philippines 🙏
@@Run4Adventure too safe for a design coming from a company who loves to innovate. really, it looks like all other cheap vest slapped with a nike logo. hahaha! well, you too man, keep safe! :)
very naive design from Nike Trail team. Cannot pour money and get instant thoughtful design.
Totally agree Tommy 👍
A lot more development needed I think! Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
I should have watched it before I purchased this vest. In real it is much worse. Totally useless vest. After a few k's I held my bottles in my hand. Shame for Nike.
Sorry you didn't see this first! It really is a terrible piece of running kit Peter. 🙁👎
Probably the worst thing I've ever bought running related! It's a disgrace that Nike made this gilet and expect runners to buy it! 😠
Thanks for watching the channel, I wish you'd found us sooner 🙏
