Great review. I like how you showed the access and room in the bilge of the boat. Not many reviewers do that and it's necessary in my opinion as a person that does most of his own maintenance.
A great review of a nice boat........ but I do miss the days when Sunseeker sports cruisers were offered with Arneson surface drives! If you're going to spend a lot of money on a boat, you may as well show off with a rooster tail once in a while!
Unless you know your have a natural preference for sitting closer to the wheel than most would, I am surprised you didn’t make more of the helm seat position. Having to lean forward for extended periods while driving would be a deal breaker for many, especially for people shorter than you. That’s quite an important thing to get wrong.
Why are all the cupboards hinges look like they come from Ikea?? It is the same on very very expensive boats, attention to detail could be a lot better for the price.
Crew quarters my azz lol. I know he said "optional" but why even imply such nonsense. Sweet boat with all the features of a modern EC. No need to try and create more features that dont exist. Besides, what a useful storage area for dinghy accessories and toys!
yea that crew cabin is a joke and shouldnt exist, mich better for a bigger tender garage or if you really want a crew cabin it should be somewhere inside connected to all other cabins. on a boat this size your crew will need to be your friends anyways as there is not much space to get away from each other.
Honestly the "crew cabin" looks more like a "slave quarters." Hard for me to imagine the sort of owner who would feel comfortable bringing someone aboard as crew with those accommodations.
By crew cabin they mean a day skipper so the main operator can drink, but it's also a berth in case you have 2 couples but 3 kids. Also an aft head without having to go through the entire boat (e.g. if you'd just been swimming and are soaking wet) is handy. But yes you're not putting a long-term skip down there.
Not a fan of galley up or not having a dinette below which is the case in the V55. I also think the seeker has a better ride when watching both test rides.
this boat actually has a bow sitting area right in front of the windshields and a sunbathing area with folding back right behind the anchor chain storage, you dont see it because they removed the cushions from there.
Swimjoy given that you don’t gain anything in terms of accommodation and the shaft drive boat handles so well, I would save the money and stick with shafts on this boat.
Was thinking of it as a great kids cabin/free space. It's extra space so y not put a shitter there and a worktable/sleeper ps saves you from going into the boat when your swimming😎
Just a shame the helm is right in the middle of the saloon seating! Why would anybody buy this when you can have the princess v60! That has a galley with dining opposite and a large saloon seating with tv opposite and the helm forward not in the middle! Horrible design for 60 feet! Happy sailing all 🛥⚓
Absolutely exquisite presentation with arguably the best opening segment of any RUclipsr for this class/classification of yacht -
🏆🏆🏆🚢
Lookin' good Captain Jack.

Derek Tannahill glad you enjoyed it!

Camera guy could do with a gimbal

@@Pixelplanet5 ya plus its just a 60 foot boat. Lol, if you need a crew u may as well stay on the dock.

Better than the Princess V55? Hoping to see a test drive of that one as well.
Petteri Jooei good timing. I’m testing it next week 👍
@@jackhaines123 this is a little longer and wider from the specs i see on both boats
major difference is princess galley up and sunseeker galley down
You see right at the intro what’s wrong with it; it has no bow seating area. So the new princess V55 is the one to get. Not this one.

Sunseeker quality is worlds better than Princess, especially post Viking divorce.
Some people insist on bow seating, I dislike the look. It's good to have enough models on the market that we can differ. Bow for sun bathing, IMO.

Dont the helm seats fold forward ???
The helm seats need a rethink by Sunseeker or a refit in aftermarket.
Could you please test the bavaria SR41
Mohamed Alhamo she’s on the list
Would you choose shaft or ips?

Did you see the crew area? I though slavery was abolished...

Personally I hate galley aft and wouldn't choose a boat with it. Also as owner-operator the main focus should be "the captain's station".
