God, I love Ulrich. Just silently deactivated the tower, not walking but literally running in it to enter the code as soon as he could unlike the others
Shifting the series to live action was such a mistake. It only limited what XANA could do in the real world since they didn’t have the budget for anything like he did in the original series, and it really didn’t help that the actors they got barely resemble the original characters and their performances were stiff as fuck.
@@MP-nq9ht Plus their avatars are supposed to be what they desire it to be, now they just look like some offbrand power rangers for avatars. Their old avatars had personality
It was honestly interesting to see the others being able to deactivate the tower. This version made it possible for the others to help out when Aelita got devirtualized. That's a concept I WISHED they had in the show. That way you could risk Aelita after her virus was gone to be devirtualized, but have the others do it too.
She has no vitus :) And the others were not able to do that because you have to have the Keys of Lyoko to be able to interact with the towers .... That is a thing the producers of Evolution forget about
Aelita didn't have a virus in the original xana stole a important memory fragment from her .But he had to constantly attack her with the scyphozoa in the original to steal enough of her memory to get the keys of lyoko from her.In the original .Then used her to input the code xana to delete sectors
Lmao I can't the Xana clones are just WALKING MENACINGLY towards them and thats it??? Back in the old seasons these characters were literally on a verge of death multiple times before the towers were deactivated
God I HATED what they did to towers in this show. The old towers were iconic and had their own logic. They retconned so much, they act like the others had never even been inside a tower before at all.
Aelita was able to deactivate towers because she had the keys to Lyoko S1-S2. She basically has the big reset button in her. After Xana stole them, she was given Hopper’s keys to Lyoko, which is why the towers are white starting S3 onwards. CLE characters being able to do that is a stupid idea destroying the literal number one rule of the series for something new, which isnt even new since William deactivated Jeremy’s towers in S4 on a few occasions. Also, reviving Xana in any way was a stupid idea. Also this new CL series was a stupid idea in general, and its execution in writing and acting is even worse.
The plot with Tyron was.. at least an effort I guess? But yeah, Xana getting revived was something I never personally liked. Especially considering that Franz sacrificed himself so XANA could die. Bringing XANA back made that meaningless
@@Okamimoto Tyron was in scope statements of S4, but was ultimately scrapped by the writers because it wasn’t a Code Lyoko-like character. And we can see why. He’s presented as a villain but his only sins in the reboot was his horrible haircut and looking/acting like a villain. There’s literally no plot at all with him. To him the plot is a bunch of kids in his computer telling him there’s a virus in your computer, that it’s going to destroy the world, and Tyron be like: “no there isn’t, wtf are you talking about ? Get tf out of my computer”.
@@astrolys3482 it was still nice finding out about Aelita's mother whereabouts. But I agree, Tyron was pretty average, and the Cortex was just a bad reboot of sector 5. They should've just left the show untouched or go for the novel adaptation route
There is nearly nothing to keep in Evolution. Without mentioning the bad quality of acting and real-life sets / representations of real life, It's hard to believe that the people who wrote the script are the same as on the anime, considering the outragous numbers of things that are not coherent. Odd not knowing how to enter a tower, lol what? That's not like everyone did it planty of times in the original anime.
The only two things I like about it are the idea of adding Laura to the cast (although it was executed terribly) and the fact that William got a redemption and got to be a part of the team (when XANA possessed him again in the S4 finale i got so mad I swear)
imo what makes evolution tower feels weird to me is that they look too..different than the original. The thing about the og design of the tower, is that it closely resembles a capacitor which makes sense considering its uses. The evolution tower however, just looks like a tower with blocky design. The design itself doesnt speak what its suppose to do.
So in total, Ulrich only actually deactivated a tower once in the series. Kinda makes me question the point of giving him that ability as well. Also JEEZ I hate the new art style for the CGI.
the 3d design works but in terms of actual movement and animation on top of general sound design it’s MUCH weaker than the original. Less care was put into the creation of the material overall and it showed the entire season.
Considering the poor to shit quality of everything else in Evolution, the CGI yet still manage to be a strong point of Evolution and to look amazing compared to all of what's wrong in this live action show 😂
@@theairaccumulator7144 Though honestly out of any of them I think it would’ve made the most sense for William to now have the ability to deactivate towers given he retained the abilities XANA gave him while he was under his control, and we saw he could deactivate towers then.

no its a bad idea, deactivate the tower is a caracteristic of aelita
The lack of platform beeps kills this.
I can't believe Ulrich deactivated only one tower, and Yumi and Odd were tied for deactivating most towers.

the characters look lifeless
I want William to deactivate the tower
BRUH HE DOESNT HAVE CODES OF XANA INSIDE HIM CUZ HE WASNT THERE THE FIRST TUME THEY ENTERED LYOKO

why did yumi deactivated so much
