Original Thomas The Tank Engine Series 1 & 2 Prop Surfaces!! Perspex Thomas Model Coming To Auction!

- Today we take a look at a surprise announcement that the perspex model used on screen for season 1 and 2 of Thomas the tank engine and friends is coming to auction this November! This comes just after the 40th anniversary for the show last week and I guess the saying goes strike whilst the iron is hot aye? it states this Perspex model was created for the production and used during the first two series. Between the fourth and fifth series, all the show's models were remade in brass, and this original model was used to make moulds for additional copies of Thomas.
Also coming to auction is the original Hector coal hooper truck from season 11 hector the horrid episode as well as so narrow gauge engine rolling stock and the stegosaurus skeleton from rheneaus and the dinosaur..
Whether this is the original model used for season 1 and 2 only time will tell due to very little information being known about the prop itself but if this is the original Thomas the tank engine used, then someone is going to be one very luck person...

@Thecheekyengine Tatmr is where the first brass Thomas was Made, The great discovery 3 more were made. Prop store clearly didn't do their research.

Wish we in the UK could save these props. No offence to the American fans who buy and retire them that's great but would love to get some preserved here in the UK. Anyone want to set up a group and crowd funds to do it?
@@sodor_dan-da-man I completely agree with you!! Wish it could be kept here as alot of them are in the states now..should I try and crowd fund it? 😅 See if I can keep it here and get it restored to go on show at model shows haha..
@@Thecheekyengine I would support it. My channel not big enough to win over the fans even though I'm primarily a Thomas fan and modeller. No offeyto Thomas tank merch who has a fair few props but definitely need to or at least try something. And for those who would complain and said they would never see it, it would be suggested that as part of any attempts to buy it or the other props for that matter, that they will go out and about to shows around the UK. I can guarantee one show as I'm trying to organise one and build a large set replica layout
