Fun fact: 12:31 and 12:42 are references to Dr. Andonauts' dialogue in the Earthbound Halloween ROM Hack (Made by Toby fox and megalovania's first ever appearance), more nicer than the original dialogue tho lol (tbf it was like 2008 or 2009 so doesn't matter too much)
The dialogue is intentional. the game is parodying itself and La Jupo. The player characters interaction with La Jupo makes this obvious for myself, atleast.
Yeah, this fangame is wild. I love the part where it just straight up parodies FAITH: The Unholy Trinity. On another note, Undertale Yellow is fully out after 7 years of development, so you'll probably have your hands full playing it soon. Have fun!
I Wanna Be the Guy, Faith, the Sans and Omega Flowey fights from Undertale, with dialogue that kinda reminds me of the secret bosses of Deltarune and the difficulty of those Undertale Sans fangame boss fights... It feels like a combination of so many different things... Might have a few references that I'm not picking up on... But gee, what a trip.
One critique I have seeing this fan game for the first time is that it feels like it was made by 2 different people. a lot of the combat and attacks almost have a fun comedic tone but the dialogue, story and visuals is being presented as edgy and dark. I personally feel these two elements don't clash very well and contradict each other. But the game is still cool with a lot of really creative mechanics and fights and that faith bit was very cool.
I totally agree. I enjoyed the gameplay + audio / visual experience of the game a lot, but the narrative and dialogue leave a lot to be desired. I feel like this could be universally seen as one of the best fangames (definitely of the ones I've played so far) if it was a little more unified and coherent, ya know?
isn’t that the point? you’re not meant to take the narrative seriously, the overly edgy story twisted by modern humor being a loving parody of it, such as how a game like ultrakill seems so extremely grim, yet its fanbase feels like throwing a bouncy ball rapidly increasing in speed edit: actually in hindsight, this game just seems like one big ultrakill homage in sans undertale flesh
Keep note la jupo is insane but notice how the dialogue becomes more coherent when it's not him that's because of insanity I've noticed throughout my time dealing with people that are "mentally gifted" would commonly leave out details, make sudden's topic switches sometimes because they understand it so they assume that you do it's their normal so they assume it's also yours it makes sense when you think about it honestly I think the dialogue perfectly replicates how insanity comes across as to others and I really enjoy that and the most important thing about it is because it's the joke of the fan game which makes me love it even more
I know I wouldn’t have the patience, sanity, or time to beat this fangame. Excited for Undertale Yellow! And, you’re not old, the Wii is still my favorite console and I’m not even out of High School.
@@kirbyfreakyt4695 Your point is? The Switch is seven years old, I still use that. It’s not like I can’t start playing a console a few years after its initial launch.
I reccomend playing a game called undertale last breath, it’s a amazing game that takes a challenge, it has edgy lore but it is amazing, if you want a longer game try renewed but it ain’t better then original. Also! La jupo since he is well infected he says random stuff that makes no sense so it’s intentional. And also La jupo and C4 were friends back then (theorizing is that they were friends like kids back then pretending and the 2 went in different routes one being weak to selling there soul to a god named aranea (possibly like his name) or what he is named David (theory ) after David died la jupo was back to his senses again becoming the onne he was originally before he sold his soul …now I know nothing about the end part with c4 becoming evil or some stuff I just know is that they want death or smth
The way this was worded was just.... Anyways, I'mma reword it for my sanity La Jupo and C4 are theorized to have been friends, especially since La Jupo mentions something about "Back when we were kids" and all that. La Jupo also holds a Best Friends Forever card supposedly made by the two of them. Of course both of those could be the insanity speaking and La Jupo himself could have been the one to forge those memories as well as make the card. C4 was sent off to WW2 and, once La Jupo began to fulfil his purpose as a "chaos god of death", C4 was sent to kill him. This supposedly happened 4 times, with C4 being put into a stasis pod every single time, getting more and more frustrated with humanity who kept him trapped until they needed him, not fighting for themselves but making a robot do it for them. La Jupo, of course, began to get bored. He had fought C4 3 times, and it was such a roll every single time that they didn't even bother to give him a healing option outside of pills. He considered just... giving up, in his afterlife... Of course, Aranea found him, and gave him a message from someone who was above... Aranea's supposed master, David, told La Jupo that... well... "You're just tired of failing. I'll make sure you never fail again." And so, he started listening. Gathering power, his army, an army of new miscreants such as that stupid banana and that dog that has no affiliation with him but has his face on it Of course, C4 beats La Jupo and Aranea (Though I don't think he canonically Saves and Loads so idk how he does it lol, probably just Being A Robot) which brings La Jupo out from Aranea's insanity... But La Jupo had said some things. "Aren't you sick of [humanity]? Don't they keep you in, like... a pod or something until I show up? We could play on the same team, you know..." C4 despised La Jupo as much as the humans who had held him captive. Honestly, it seems like he couldn't figure out why until La Jupo was dead for the final time: La Jupo never wanted to fulfill his purpose. He just wanted to play. Aranea had said it as well. "But why haven't you joined him, then? Oh...? Oh. So that's why... You don't want to join him in killing humanity because... *you want to do it yourself!"* C4, frustrated with Humanity's cowardice, as they simply watched as he went mad and offered their "help" which was trapping him for another 300 years if anything, and maybe I dunno giving him pills and that was it... Decided to destroy them all, like that skeleton didn't get to. Of course, there may be another reason to hate humanity in there as well for him. C4 has a human soul inside his body. *That is a genuine human soul, who's spectre of an original owner, over a thousand years later, begs to be set free from.* Literally go to the end of the shamuseum and you'll see Anyways since that's done I have to say Last Breath is cringe play the Ribbit mod for Deltarune instead
The Wii came out before 18 years worth of people were born. It was a long-standing console, sure, and wii remotes were also usable for the Wii U, but like... *The Wii came out in 2006* *It's been 18 years since then*

41:30 i am uncertain but considering all the jokes and references is in this game most being undertale shitposts and memes i think that was an intentional choice.
I was recording episode 1 while you commented this! Game is super fun so far, a little slow on the difficulty but gives me the same feels that the original Undertale did. Ep 1 should be up tomorrow sometime! I'm either doing neutral or pacifist first. We'll see how that goes, lol
It was a bit too slow paced for a RUclips intro, and the grammar/context was a bit hard to understand right off the bat. This game was WILD. Is there enough extra content for another episode? Also, @chokeonwater absolutely popped OFF with this edit, huh??
Oh there’s enough extra content… like achievements!
There's a museum section with lots of insight on the game, characters, development, and even a little secret at the end of the road
