Yea, I think I'd pass on the tunnel, too. Interesting the trust has left the place in such a dilapidated state.
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting... we have been back a few times and I [Neil] still haven't done the Tunnels! When the house was gifted to the Nationsl Trust by the last Hapur Crewe to live there he had hoped that they would restore it to its former glory ... it wasn't to be. They did restore just one room , the dining room, to give a taste of how grand it was but chose to preserve the rest in the state of decay in which they found it... Best wishes to you 😊
Goodness what a huge house and gardens. The garden very colourful with flowers. I like the Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. Walt Disneys Mickey must be at least 100 years old now. He drew him in the 1920s I think. From Carl in NZ

I thought this was the house where the owners never threw anything away, they just kept stuffing the rooms until they couldn’t get any more in and the just shut the doors? Can someone enlighten me?
This is indeed the house where nothing was thrown away... every room is full of things collected by generations of the Harpur Crewe family. Most rooms are in a state of decay but the dining room and library do still have the beauty of when the house was still cared for... thank you 😊

I don't understand why you have that background music. It adds nothing and sometimes its so loud you can't understand the narration. This seems to be a common thing in travel videos; I see it frequently and it is truly annoying. In these old houses, it's better to pick up the sounds of the house so the viewer has the experience of being there. Otherwise, I like your videos!!
Thanks for your comment we appreciate the feedback as it helps us to improve our videos... in our newer ones we have chosen more subtle background music... it is a learning curve... Best wishes to you
