    This type of fishing has no room for limp wrist, it takes muscle to bring these monsters to the boat. Fly fishing for Cajun Bones is becoming very popular down south and the video is proof!!!!

  • @backbonz

    This is probably a stupid question...and I could have used Googles, but thought I’d give you a chance to interact with your many followers. Primarily fishing for trout, my reel handle is on the left (I’m right handed). So why, when fishing salt, do most people reel on the right?

    • @HugeFlyFisherman
      @HugeFlyFisherman  4 года назад +1

      It’s sort of the old school way to do it, but I’ve always reeled with my right hand because it felt awkward with my left hand. I can do both if needed though. I don’t whine about it like my friends do if they have to use a reel that is rigged differently than theirs. A lot of saltwater guys reel with their dominant hand, but not everyone. There are no rules.

    • @backeddy1
      @backeddy1 4 года назад +3

      So I've got to jump in with my two cents since i get this question while guiding all the time. All what Huge says below but also maybe put your equation the physical weight of 8-12wt rods and reels (especially with all the old stuff) , muscle spent casting, just up holding ready up on the deck and hard fighting saltwater species. It is physically tiring. Switching hands can give your dominant hand a break each time your landing a fish
