Well you want the buffs that come from the debuffs.
However sometimes you do get a really bad seal at a really bad time and need to clear. But that's rare.
Sometimes, having all your card seal is better than have no debuff, so not using the third skill make sense.
this whole cq is all about not using remove debuff anyway

I’m proud of the fact that this CQ was my first ever solo, using Medusa Lily. Your Cu solos gave me a good idea of how to approach things for this and I’m grateful for that.
Solo using Medusa Lily? What setup/lineup formation and what CE cards did you use? I also use her in this event but I can't defeat the rice cooking servant, I only get through his 2nd layer hp and then I lose, can you teach me?

Ha Ha, that only works so long as the lottery currency you receive is more than the ap you spend. And since you get 3 bronze apples from box 11 onward, safe to say that farming for lottery currency is HIGHLY dependent on that factor...Unless you can spend Saint Quartz to fill your so to full if of course you need to or JUST CAN☺😑🙃
I just defeated him and I still didn't get the mechanic of this fight
Every Turn he has a buff that in his Buster Attacks seals a card.
Cycles between BAQ (forgot the order) and increases your servants Max HP.
When your Servants normal attack they lower the cool down of the card seal by one.
If your HP goes below 10% you gain a ton of NP meter as a life line.

also there is a mechanic people forgot. you cant die by face card attacks. and every time you go down by face card the game will heal you to 5k health.
@Edgemond Dantes you have to have guts on your skill or the event ce. if you have a guts skill or the event ce you wont die by he's face card.

I was not expecting solid state scouter but I'm glad it's here lol
I managed to do this one entirely by accident on first try with Summer Kiyohime, Karna (support) and Merlin. The rest were just there for bond points and I was mainly just testing the waters so to speak. When I managed to break the first bar, I've lost all my servants except for Kiyo. She was literally stuck for a few turns unable to attack due to the card seal effect when I paralysed him with the Combat mystic code. This allowed her to finally attack and with all the buffs that had been stacked on to her from the rice balls, she did ~5.6 million damage on her NP. I basically one-shotted his second bar.

I did this with Cu and Vlad lancer, during the 2nd bar Cu did a 3mil oneshot on his np (after being sealed for so long) and it was glorious

Looking at the Video i came to the conclusion that this fight most likely is way easier with a solo servant than a full team. (still hard ofc)
Basically wiha solo-servant you're sure to get rid of your card-Debuff every round which doesn't suddenly lead to shenanigans when you need to use an Np and notice, that it's blocked (sorry, Jeanne no flag-waving for you i suppose). I haven't really figured out of it's better to have a diverse team (buster, arts quick) or a team consisting of mostly one card-type. Both have heavy drawbacks in the fight. My best attempt was with Karna, Jeanne and Medea so far, but once i broke the bar, he had me stunned completely and most of my rounds ended with me twiddling my thumbs until he finally shot enough rice-balls to take me down. (Sadly i don't have Herakles bond 10 yet, would have loved to have him have a go)
Depends on the team.
There's some setups that are sure wins and there's some units that can't solo this without massive RNG.
But Cu, Enkidu or Scath with the damage CE are definitely the most reliable way to win.
@@HonakoGreen Sadly i don't have Enkidu or Scath and my Cu is WIP since i only got SN-Cu very, very late. (prot-cu was already np 5 lvl 70 when i finally got my first sn-cu)

Remember that the boss cycles card type seals.
you get a buff next turn based on what debuff you got
Quick= NP up lasts a long time or until you NP (good to stock pile these)
Buster = ATK up for next 5 ATKs. So you can hold it for 1 turn
Art = all card type up for your next attack only

@@chimchim1516 Also remember the NP damage is the main threat. So save survival for it more than normal. his normal attacks aren't to big of a deal.

@Honako Green how much do you feel the Star Drop Up codes help with Cu’s Q Cards, all said? Thinking of stacking my Cu’s deck with a Crest of Humanity along with Glitter. He def needs it more, but another potential is Achilles for Crest.
Star bomb CCs are better. But they aren't on NA yet.

I’m sure you wanna hear from Honako, but I think as of now a Star Draw-Weight up might be best for Arts, for me personally I want to crit on his Arts for the best NP gain on it. Later on one of the NP Gain codes could be good, too. Or a Debuff clear might be good. I guess it depends on play-style, though.

How can you do so much damage without event CE? No matter how many buffs i got, with non-mlb event CE, NP does only around 600k
Well, i feel like he barely debuffs me with quicks too
I test myself with :
level 70 Cu with MLB,
Level 85 Cu with normal Event CE
,Level 100 Cu with normal Event CE
level 100 Cu with MLB event CE
Even without MLB or event CE itself , you can get average 850 K damage if you use NP once you buff stacked him with Buster and Quick Buff. It's all about timing when to use his NP and you normally would rely on normal card damage most of the time
Cu was made for this CQ
Every lancer was made for this CQ. When it showed up on JP last year Honako solod it with Gareth, and I'm pretty sure she was still pre-grail levels.
@@TheShinyFeraligatr Yeah but a lot of Lancers need the damage CE and or good RNG. This fight can actually ruin your day if you get bad RNG. I think people would be surprised at how low the win rate is for some Lancers.
Cu has so much survival you can weather bad RNG easily and keep trucking. He is definitely one of the best picks for this CQ and easily the best budget pick.

Question, why didn't you use Cu's NP on turn two? You were safe from the card lock due to the scathach taunt, and he's got his sure hit upgrade on NA now. And watching further you would've had NP gauge to spare in the coming two turns. Was it just because you didn't have any of the damage up buffs yet?
Didn't have buffs yet. And then when I had buffs I would not have NP.
NP without thinking is how you lose this.
Just soloed this with enkidu, but i'm not as your tier because i'm using ce and using 5 star🤣

He uses the np first to utilize the def down in cu's np. Np usage really just depends on the situation if you look at it.

@@nya2187 even level 70 Cu can solo this which I did with both Level 100 and Level 70 Cu. Grail is not even matter in this fight since your main damage would come from Debuff and Damage CE. Level 100 is needed for WITHOUT damage CE

I have been trying to solo this with my Cú Chulainn for the last three hours, but no dice yet. I don't get how you do this.
Mind you, your Cú is level 100, likely full Fou'd, and has a MLB Golden Sumo which I don't have because I was new back then and didn't manage to finish the event. Unlike my Cú.
Is this even beatable with a level 80 2/10/8 Cú? And if it is, how?
samee ive been trying for hours (im a new player) T.T
I did it with a level 85 6/6/1 Cu 1000 atk fou with the event ce. 17 turns and didnt even use Cu's guts skill.
Maybe want to try it with a mlb CE you get from the lotto; it increase damage and give a guts. You are going to want to wait several turn before using np causing you are gaining buffs each turn. I waited several turns to break his first break bar and then after another set of turns, use another np to bring him closer to death. I die but with a gut -> revive which I then gained np gauge to use np right after and that should kill him. This fight is easier with a solo lancer and some survivability. not sure how many turn you should want but just keep trying. Can't never know what you can summon with a ticket. Good Luck!
p.s not sure of the max hp gimmick but using debuff cleanse might mess it up and cause you to have lower hp. just something to be aware of.
update : i manage to defeat rice boy using enkidu just now...maybe i could not defeat it b4 coz i relatively new to this game and dont know the way to play it properly... thank god i finally done it
It's pretty easy to do with a 70 Cu if you use the event CE. You just need to understand the boss gimmicks.
