Will the scratch affect you to use the Fingerprint feature? If not, you can just leave it alone or try some toothpaste and be careful to apply it on the surface of the sensor, don't let it get inside, or it will... like you said "destroy". If the scratch did affect to use the feature, then you can consider change a new sensor.
Sir sorry for late reply, you can use microfiber cloth for it, and with white, non-gel varieties of toothpaste, particularly those with baking soda as an ingredient, are the best to use for scratch removal.

can you tell how to remove scratches from fingerprint sensor.i have just 2 minor scratches on my g5 plus finger sensor.pls help.!!
Clean the Fingerprint sensor and , then try apply some toothpaste on it in a circular motion for 30 seconds, then clean the toothpaste
