I really loved this video as I'm "off the beaten path" kind of traveler. I love going to local breweries and distilleries and what made me excited was the Yuzu Mint drink you had. I'm going there next year and I'll be sure to visit and buy me a bottle to take back home as well!

Was originally planning on a Bahamas cruise, but this video collection may have changed my mind. Also love the video editing. Love it. Love the idea of shrimp toast. Worth the cruise just for that 😂
Alaska was by far the best cruise we have ever done. Beyond the Haven, the scenery and towns are just amazing and a stark contrast from a Caribbean cruise. Emma & Jack
One of the times we were in Juneau it was about 80 degrees that day. Older kids of the town were actually wading and splashing in the Mendenhall Glacier's lake! Imagine! All the other times it was cold and rainy or cold and windy. When we went on the tram we had a short talk by a Native American lady who gave a talk with some info. about the animals and birds and the culture. They also had a few rescue birds and there was also a nature walk hike with a great view. The state museum was excellent!
I can not imagine getting in Mendenhall Glacier Lake! No matter what the temp is outside it still has to be freezing cold water! That’s a nice experience for the Tram! I definitely want to try some of the museums next time we go to Alaska!

That’s amazing. We did the team first thing without hiking boots. We live in Colorado so are used to a lot of snow so didn’t bother us too much but would suggest boots if you aren’t used to that type of weather or terrain. We booked the tram ride through the cruise. With the NCL $50 shore excursion credit, it made it cheaper than booking directly with the tram company. However, without the credit it is cheaper to book with the tram directly. For the other parts, we just explored the town ourselves. It is about a mile walk from the ship to the downtown. We did not take any medication. Neither of us really gets sea sick at all even in rougher waters. The Alaska cruise can definitely be rocky during sea days and would suggest you prepare with medication if necessary. However, on the port days and between ports it is relatively smooth. Emma & Jack

was yours Ncl encore ? I am wondering if people get off the boat at the same time or if the people with NCL pre-booked excursion go first ? … I booked a non-line excursion in Juneau and Im afraid I may not make it if the disembarkation takes 2 hours at least 😅
One thing I would like to add…. Juneau is about a mile from downtown. You can walk it. Keep that in mind too because there could easily be a long line for the bus as well. We walked and it was very doable. Emma

I've lived in Alaska 48 yrs and never found the food to be good.
We had an amazing dinner at a new restaurant in Homer! If you watch that video, we would highly suggest trying that one out.
