Where I am, Southeast Alaska, land and housing is very expensive, comparable to Northern California or maybe Connecticut. As far as getting paid to live here, you have to be a resident for a year first and then there are some other "hoops" you need to jump through. The payout is not the same each year (the Permanant Fund is paid once per year) it's based on the oil companies' profits. It is NOT free money, it is taxable on your Federal return. Currently, there is no state income tax in Alaska. If you have a family, it could be beneficial because each member of your resident family can apply for it and possibly receive it. Hope this helps clear up things for you. Brian
Hello Brian, your knowledge is priceless to people who have no experience in survival like me - please make a video for low budget worthy tactical clothings to stay warm - time is running for prepper in Europe, it seems get a outstanding cold and hungry winter - greetings from an old wife which wants to stay alive. 🙏😉😘
I will see what I can come up with for you, but the best (and easiest) to stay warm in cold weather is to wear layers of clothing. Start with a fairly thin, but warm inner layer and build on that. Try not to use too many cotton garments because they will tend to retain sweat which may, in turn, freeze or chill thus making you colder. Although it is pretty expensive, Marino wool works great. this fabric will wick away sweat and like "old fashion wool" and retain your body temperature. Thanks for taking the time to ask a very good question and for subscribing! Stay safe! Brian
Yes, thank you, Rosenfee, I am fine. No covid here. This year has been awful for weather! High winds (60 - 80 mhp) and lots of sideways rain since July...constantly! I live in a rain forest, but dang! It's been rough. The weatther has finally calmed down a little so hoprfully soon I'll be able toe get back out and do more videos. Thanks for your concern. Brian.
