There was no point in my adult life where I had the time and money to make this kind of trip, Freddie, so I'm living vicariously through you! Thanks for this.
@@richardbartlett6932u dont have to say that because u know some people arent sometimes lucky with their life, responsibilities block your way. Let him enjoy, dont taunt him with jokes
You bring a touch of class to everything you do. Even when you're eating a makeshift meal by the French roadside you have seating and silver crockery. Love it.
All kidding aside, you guys have to get with a TV show. The fact I have been watching for a few years and sit here in the US on a Sunday morning watching proves there is an audience. You have everything people are after. Travel, food, a little comedy and most of all just a great vibe. I remember when the subscriber count was like 10k. Have a great trip.
Luv ur content guys, so varied. Luv Monica even though we don’t see much of her she’s such a sweetheart, you are very blessed to have her in your life Freddie. How can one not give a thumbs up to this! Take care guys 👍🙂
Morocco is a modern country, you can get food everywhere, you don't need to take rations and a stove. I was in the Sahara and visited Merzouga this summer, I rented a quad bike to ride out on the dunes. Great fun.
What an absolute dream. We loved Morocco when we went at the beginning of the year. Make sure you take some Sahara sand back with you. We regretted this even though our bags, clothes, hair and everything else were full of the stuff
Freddie, I am amazed just how much ground you have covered in such a short time span. I have also pick up some basic French when you ordered that Choco Pan. Looking forward to the next installment, thank you.
You standing on the balcony at 19:40, i thought omg those terracotta vases are gonna fall in a high wind and hit someone. 😮😂 enjoy the trip, epic escape from the cold wet miserable UK weather. I need a break too 🥲
When in France if I want a quick meal I usually get a large tin of Cassoulet and boil some rice to go with it. Tastes great, doesn't cost the earth, and gives plenty of calories.
As soon as I saw you driving on to the ferry in the early morning half light, it reminded me of our motorhome trip to Ile De Re in September …..that feeling of anticipation is amazing !…..also we have 2 of those slatted tables for use with the motorhome, they pack down to nothing !…..I can’t wait for our next French trip…P.S. I hope you got your breakdown cover & insurance for Morocco this time ! 😀
I first started following you guys when you did that epic trip to Morocco on your Bonneville. We have enjoyed all your videos and thank you so much for the personal video you sent me before Christmas. So many things I wouldn’t have done without your information on places to visit. We have done the bike shed in London and many more places we would never have known about. I think there’s nothing like being a biker all the great places you can visit and all the lovely people you meet on the way .
Great journey, in modern cars you really need a engine scanner tool with live data, spare belts , extra oil, antifreeze. A good tool box, a good jack and a location 2000 miles away.. 👌👌 never look back
Hi Freddie and Monika. I've just got back from a trip to exactly where you are heading. My brother and I flew into Marrakech and hired two KTM's and travelled through the Atlas mountains to Mazouga. The roads you will find are second to none, they are brilliant, and littered with cheap, good hotels serving wonderful food. Hope you like tajine. Looking forward to watching the rest of this series, and let me know if you want any recommendations on where to stay. Safe travels.
Well you did it to me once again Freddie. It’s 5:30 Sunday morning, and I’m sitting here waiting on a snow and ice storm to hit. With temperatures to get down to 0 this week. And your out having a big old time going to warm Morocco. The on,y thing that makes up for that is knowing the money your gonna spend on gas to get the Jeep there and back is gonna be crazy 😜. A bit of advice Freddie. Don’t mistreat that Jeep engine. I can’t believe you didn’t get an oil change before you went. I’m telling ya it’s not the Fiat. Have you ever changed the tranny, and transfer case fluids? Plus both front and rear differential fluids? It never hurts to carry some tools and a high lift jack in a Jeep. Just in case. Well whatever happens you won’t starve to death eating that “cat food” lol monica he would be lost without you.
Marvellous idea Freddie, did your trip last October from Portstewart N.Ireland on an Africa Twin Adventure Sports. Would love to be going back, the desert is breathtaking. Enjoy 😮
Rode down to the Picos this year , fantastic riding in Spain and Portugal, open and quiet roads . That’s quite a trip to Morocco. Did it in a Toyota Amazon with the family in 2002 . A fantastic trip . Good on you
You had me at "Cat Food", love the roadtrips and this looks like it's going to be a hilariously good one, Monika you have the patience of a saint. Enjoy yourselves
Freddie, it absolutely was "un pain au chocolat". It is just that in South-West France, they call it "chocolatine" (feminine word, une chocolatine). Have fun with the trip! I'll cross my fingers that you do find a proper and reliable mechanic in Morocco for the oil change and that Monica does not have to experience more "adventure" than she is comfortable to take 🤞
With “Pain au Chocolat” or “Chocolatine”, you’ve touched on a raging French dispute. I am from the Pain au Chocolat camp ! Enjoying your journeys, you both.
I have no problem with your background music its not tedious ..You and Monika are adventurous souls this trip will be one of your finest i am sure keep safe and enjoy every minute 🙏
Yipeeeee!... another road trip..:)... these are exciting to watch Freddie and I always fee like I kinda tag along and enjoy the ride. Monika's camera work is tops as per usual - have a safe trip
I love driving in Spain , beautiful and well maintained roads, no need to pay tolls cos even the double carriage ways are far better than UK motorways, shops along the roads are clean and prices of food are very reasonable but worse than UK is France , speed cameras everywhere, horrendos prices, roads are a mess, using motorways is expensive and not really cheap places to eat .
Oh what a great adventure to watch from the dreary U.K. Your videos are so watchable. The only thing that would complete the joy is if Monika would join you in front of the camera as I think it would add a whole new level of human interaction.
I agree. It would be lovely to see Monika. Unsure as to whether she doesn’t want to appear in front of the camera or whether Freddie just wants it to be about him !! We did used to see her, e.g. when shopping for a ladies bike jacket but even in that episode Freddie dominated. I get that the channel is Freddie Dobbs but it seems like Monika is treated more like a camerawoman/assistant than a partner !!
I love these road trips Freddie happy new year Freddie you may have trouble in Morroco getting an oil filter for that jeep , as the engine is not that common A little tip buy yourself a couple of filters and keep them in the car for long road trips
By coincidence, just drove back from Morocco into Spain yesterday and decided to re-watch your bike adventure there last night! 😁 It’s a more difficult crossing with a car, as every car has to be x-rayed and the queue for that took us over 2 hours! 😩
Always a hoot going on an expedition with Freddie and Monica. The short amount of time to enjoy the vast amount of scenery is a shame. Thank you for making it possible. Those long days had to be torture. You must keep up on the jeep's maintenance better. If you think the Bonnie 's repair bill was expensive, I'm guessing Jeep's bill would be much higher. Looking forward to seeing the Sahara in part 2. Safe travels always. 👍👍
Hey Freddy those meals are really good mate but there is a slightly cheaper alternative if you would like to give it a go they are a military MRE food there's a shopping Cornwall called the prepper shop near newquay where you can bulk buy loads of different options on the menu. Hope you both enjoy your time over there
I’m very excited about your dash to Merzouga ,we did it in a campervan it’s a place you will never forget it’s absolutely amazing. Ps the boil in a bag meals the idea is to eat directly out of the bag no washing up 😊
I did mention to Monika that we could eat out of the bag… but she wanted an element of silver service. I cannot wait for Merzouga, so I am genuinely over the moon to read your comment about it!
Good morning Monica and Freddy, we have enjoyed this video again as many before this one. It's our Sunday morning routine to watch your video's with a nice espresso macchiato. Today even in a snowy white world. Thanks and enjoy your trip. We will be following you. Greetings from Rotterdam
We now live in Brittany and are doing a similar trip, west coast France, north & west coast Spain, west coast Portugal, south coast Spain, back through France. For the whole of February. No plans of where to stop yet but max of 4 hours per day driving. No shame on those who can't afford time or money to do a trip like this, it's a personal choice. Morocco maybe next year (I'll have to convince the wife after she watch a Morocco video with Flash floods and everything in it). But to see the Sahara with your/our own eyes...
I've just come back from Morocco, it was 30 degrees! Now I'm planning a road trip, wondering how to do it. Can you let us know the costings and upload a gpx? Nice camerawork, BTW.
Freddie, please keep up with the oil services, preferably every 5K miles with quality synthetic oil. The 3.6 pentastar V6 is not without is weaknesses and neglect will catch up with you.
Do like an epic road trip, enjoyed this video so much and looking forward to the rest of the series👍, it would be really interesting at the end of your trip if you could let us know the costs involved such as fuel, tolls, ferry crossings etc. I say that as I’m thinking of driving to Portugal this year but possibly looking to sail to Santander😃
Great road trip for us observers , and Marocco is an amazing country to explore! Any chance of telling us the name of those veggie-food pouches , as I’m a hopeless cook , and need decent food for this winter to tryout new ways of eating healthier foods? Cheers 🍻 HNY Freddie and Monica 🎉
