Alli Cherry recently did a similar DIY but I love seeing different ways to do similar projects, and seeing how different people make things. It's all so inspiring and I really need to make some now 🙌🙌🙌
Yes you have to do it for sure! Make sure to tag me when you do. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Another great one! Love simple DIY's that look great but also save money as opposed to buying it for much more in the store :)
Thank you Katie! I try to make it easy and cheap for anyone to be able to do it xx.
Something easy to add. When using gorilla glue, it recommends the surface be moist. So spritz some water or dab some onto the surface your putting the glue on. Just makes it last a little longer
Omg Rachel i am so mind blown by this video here you're a very artistic person i wouldn't have never thought of that nice work👌💯
Well thank you very much! I am so hyped you watched/liked it 😊.
No problem
That's genius! I love your vids 😘💗
Thank you Ronda 😘.
What a great idea 👍🏻✨❣️ bravo❣️❣️ what I want is a museum quality scroll frame 🖼 for a antique Asian art 📜
This is so awesome! I'm not at all crafty but you've totally inspired me to do this! New subscriber & looking forward to your upcoming vids!✌
Thank you for subscribing!
I loved it, everything you do is awesome!
+Paola Marín wow thank you!
Your so talented! Love this! ♥️ hope your having a great week!
AH! Thank you Sarah! I hope you're having a great week as well xx.
Really clever--and good looking too!
Thank you so much Sue!!
Hi, very nicely done ! However i am not able to get as to how the plain wooden panel is latching on to the magnets, pls share it with us. thanks !
There is a whole walk thru of that at 1:11 in the tutorial if you watched it -l so I'm not sure what is missing? They are double sided magnets which again the tutorial explains.
Thank you so much for replying, i am sorry i thought of them as a single block of magnet and hence the confusion. After watching closely at 1:55 i think i got it. There are 2 magnets in that one block. Thanks again and all the best for your future projects.
Great idea! :D Pretty cool
Thank you!
Love this DIY!!
Ah! Thank you!
This actually pretty cool, I like this. Now only if I had pictures to hang lol.
Thank you! Yeah you can hang anything - photo, art work, news articles...anything!
+Living to DIY with Rachel Metz ha... news articles not likely where I live in Chicago lol.
I was just giving examples haha. Have a great week!
Thank you so much! That exactly what I was looking for for a long time 😻
Oh yay! So excited to have helped.
You know it just hit me, use 1/4 “ or more like 3/4” etc. scrap of 1x wood (any kind would work if you’d want to rip down your own strips if you had nice walnut, cedar, etc. or buy ready made like 1x2 poplar or really cheap 1x2 firring strips) and drill holes for tiny yet strong round magnets. Then you’d just drill into the wood on either end deep enough the magnets sit flush with the wood, rather than glueing thick pieces of magnet strips that stick out. It’d be more aesthetically pleasing as the magnets would be hidden and definitely more secure as each magnet would fit snuggly into the holes drilled for them plus magnet strips lack a strong hold from my experience with them. I’d use adhesive like you used to prevent them from popping out later when the wood expands and contracts. Of course my idea would require some simple tools like a drill and the small round magnets may cost a little more but I think it’d make a lasting, professional frame holder for your pics or fabric, whatever you’d be making them for. Just a long note I thought I’d put but thank you for the inspiration, a really neat, quick project that I appreciate you sharing 👍🏼
Great tip.
keep doing your thing as always here supporting!
Thank you so much - you always comment the nicest things!
cleaver, simple, cute. Thx
I'm so excited!!! I looks awesome!!! :)
YAY! You should be getting it soon xx.
Oooooo how cool!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼!!!
Thank you Yesenia for all your consistent support xx.
i dont understand how 2 pieces of woods are staying together?
also woods were glued having magnet between them, how she was separating them after they dried up?
can anyone explain please, cz i wanna make this DIY!!
it would be a great help
It looks like glued BOTH SIDES of the magnet 🧲??
so wouldn’t then the 2nd piece of wood be glued permanently..
I thought you put magnets on both pieces of wood so they adhere together? Is that how it’s done?
love this!
Love you sister!
Awesome!!!
Thank you!
Beautiful.
i followed instructins and only prob i had was hanging the frame. the front of the frame dips forward rather than sitting nicely square. any ideas why?
What type of paper did you use?
wow this is incredible! Urban outfitters is always such a rip off haha im so happy you found an alternative!
I didn't realize how cheap it'd be!

Yes it was! She's the best little artist, I had to hang it up. Thank you for watching!
hi I love your idea. How it's supossed the magnets to magnetize the one piece of wood that does not have the magnets?
Both sides have magnets?
Love how you used Paul's board Desgin! This in spired me! Could you see if there is to make picture frame outta a used skateboard?
I could definitely do that! I don't have any power tools though quite yet to execute that! I know my friend Matt at Skate Kreations could do that for sure. skatekreations.com

can u do a Q&A video next with p rod
I will ask him to do one on his channel! I don't think people would have questions for me! Haha
+Living to DIY with Rachel Metz lol I have many questions
I'll see what I can do!
Living to DIY with Rachel Metz OK thx
@2:20 - wait...you glued those panels with magnets, how the hell can you detach them? I already thought - "why did you placed glue on top of magnets again?", then I wondered that maybe it was meant for the other panel with magnets to be attached which would hold the picture...but seems not...
? They are glued to the wood.

If you come to a DIY channel to make a comment about someone's teeth who they now are in the process of fixing since it has been one their biggest insecurities since day one, you're a pretty petty person xx.
doesnt work
So sorry you had trouble! This was one of my first DIY's and I'm sure there are MUCH better ways to do it.
