Play while young, I played with a tutor for nearly a year and gave it up at 12, I decided to take it up again at 62, I'm now 69 and only starting to play grade 5, I think that is due to the fact that as you get older your co-ordination isn't as fast. Albeit saying that, I just love practising nearly every day, as It's my main hobby besides walking and cycling. Looking back, I wish I'd never have given up playing so young.
I'm a bit younger, but still an adult practicing piano. I feel as if coordination is not issue at all, but all the garbage accumulated in our minds throughout the years is that which in fact is often blocking us. So, clearing, opening mind as much as possible, helps a lot. Good luck with practicing!
Smiled the whole time I was listening! Lovely job Melissa! Had some great Joe Hisaishi vibes. Just a wonderful and beautiful performance!
