@@johnladouceur9939 what impressed me most about this concert was not McDonald’s voice, but the way the others backed him up vocally. They didn’t harmonize like th eagles, but I thought their back ups were damn near as good. McDonald on the other hand went off script to much for me, and went full blown prima Donna. Someone should tell him that sometimes less is more.

They are in their 70s but damn! The music is still smokin' like they are in their 40s.

I actually met him after the show in Orange County, CA. Nice guy, super pumped he's back with the band after all these years.
I went to a Doobies concert way back in about '78 when "Skunk" Baxter was with them, that was something else, but they are sounding so good after all these years

Michael McDonald was a long-time member of the Doobie Bros, penning some of their great hits. He replaced Tom Johnston originally, when the letter’s drug habit got out of control, so it is great to see them together again…
