I've gotta say, they're 80x better than my entire schools JROTC. (Grafe 8) Last week at inspection, a kid somehow got his cover stolen during class and didnt tell anybody prior to inspection. It was so funny, literally gave me some of the biggest stolen valor videos vibes. Here's how the whole thing went: "Hello Sir, c-ca-cadet Seaman Apprentice Karlson reporting for personell inspection" "It's Good morning, Sir. Where's your cover cadet?" "Someone stole it Sir" "How in hell does somebody steal your cover?" "I don't know Sir." And then we had another kid, who sounded proud to have spent 5 minutes both shoes. "Good morning, Sir. Cadet Seaman Apprentice Vilgas ready for inspection." "You shine your shoes?" "Uhh, yes Sir." "How long did you spend on them?" "A good 5 minutes, Sir." "Looks like you spent 5 minutes beating them with a brick, did you even look at them before coming in?" "Yes, Sir." This kid went on to talk bad about our inspector for "acting ungrateful" about the time spent on his shoes. Oh, right. The one who didn't know the rank that the person literally right before them had been asked and answered correctly. "Cadet Seaman Recruit Rokinsol reporting for personell inspection, Ma-Sir." "Ma? Ma? What's an E3 in the Navy?" "This cadet does not know, Sir" "But Daniel's right here just said it?" "I wasn't paying attention, Sir" "How come?" "No excuse, Sir" "You're gonna get some hell of a PT on Friday" "No-Yes Sir" "No? Yes? It wasn't a question" OKAY now the worst was the kid pulling up with their nametag on the completely wrong spot. You won't believe this, but his nameplate was where his J-bar was, and his J-bar where his name is supposed to be. Come on, how do you even mess that up? It's been an entire 9 months of school, and we're this bad? Seriously, never expect a perfect platoon of 8th grade JROTC cadets at this point.
No mark time march, no left face, no dress right dress commands given, yet they do it as if it were part of the command. Plus they don't know half of the questions and they don't keep there uniforms in top condition. If I were in NJROTC I would be able to do all of these things right. I just hope this is their first inspection because they do not look like they know how to do anything. Smh
That was rough as hell. They need to have a little composure and know the answers the questions. I'm an AFJROTC cadet and I know all those very easy questions.
If you are a Cadet Ensign and dont know the pay grade of your snsi or nsi then you need to start back from the beginning..... seriously I know mine and I'm barely a C/Seamen Apprentice... smh
Ugh... this is just sad to be completely honest, there is so much wrong but the second cadet to get inspected messed up and didn’t even ask permission to recover and that just kinda pissed me off for some reason... Edit: also playing it back I just realized that the PFC said “Who is your senior naval science instructor” and she said naval science instructor... I came into this video thinking that these were going to be some good inspections but I am leaving completely disappointed lmao
TheAlmondJoy yeah they did bad but I think it was their first time and they were nervous. I recently had a comp and it was my first comp and it was a CDR inspecting our specific squad (I was in first and each squad down got lower and lower ranked people, like the 4th squad had a Po2 inspecting them) and I was so nervous to the point that I answered easy questions wrong. It’s just a matter of being put on the spotlight like that in front of a high ranked person (even tho the person in the vid is only an e-2 pfc
Mr. krabs the sex addict yeah I can understand that, you can practice and practice, think you know it, and when you get asked you just blank. You have to learn to just not pay attention to who is asking and answer the question. Edit: I just now realized that there is no way that this is their first inspection because all of them have a considerable amount of ribbons and some have aiguillettes... I am even more disappointed. Also just noticed that the second cadet broke barring multiple times by looking around.
Eugh look at that arm swing in the beginning. It's so off. And the knowledge disgusts me. Late on the halt/dress right dress at 0:21 . God I can't watch anymore. Work on it, to say the least.
