I did the AAT some years ago before taking time out to do a Psychology degree (yep I know quite different) - this brief course was great as a very succinct, comprehensive reminder - so much so I am thinking of taking the Ultimate Bookkeeping Course even though I have covered everything there before in my studies, but at the very reasonable value of £85 (£65) currently it is very tempting. For anyone getting started in bookkeeping you really can't go wrong with these videos and I think they are a good example of the quality one might expect from his courses. I literally have never had more conversation with numbers than words in my entire life. Thank you so much. I didnt know why God wanted me to learn bookeeping for years at first it was an idea to get acourse to ave a job, but now! Now im having conversations with my t-accounts and double entry and owh I had no clue about excel now im on my PC having fun with everything, damn. Hi. Stock held is an asset, so it will show on the balance sheet. Stock sold is a cost of sale, so it shows on the profit and loss. Thanks for watching.

Do you have a video explaining how the term debit the reciever credit the giver comes into play. I understand most things but when that is mentioned by my tutor in college all understanding goes out the window!! lol
Receiver and giver are more to do with banking, such as a bank statement. All you need to do is think in reverse of the accounting - the debits and credits will be the opposite to accounting - harder than it may sound! I hope this helps

Sales are usually sales of a product or service. Revenue is a blanket term for money received, including sales, commissions, royalties, interest received, etc. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

I like your video's but you need to make sure when you use excel that not everyone is using your letters like DR/ CR in the USA we use different letters. But great information for beginners.

In the P&L section, is the Gross Profit the same as R (Revenue)? I noticed every other piece of the P&L report corresponds to a letter from the PE_R_S section of the acronym, so I assumed this was the case but wanted to double-check.
Hi. Gross profit is revenue/sales minus cost of sales. Revenue is income, sales, etc.
What is difference between Revenues and Sales in PEARLS?

Sometimes there is no difference.
Sometimes revenue relates to all forms on income, such as sales, bank interest, rental income, etc, whilst sales relates to just the income through selling a product or service. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps.
