I tried building Marchesa as an Outlaw deck, but I couldn't include dockside, it just went bananas with like every 5th card in the list. Too strong for my playgroup. Magda, the Hoardmaster is borderline too strong as well. Even with the treasures entering tapped, a 2 mana creature with a relevant creature type that makes 1-4 treasures per turn is absurd.
Tomer, it seems you missed the announcement WOTC made, Viashino are now being errata’d to lizards. Like when they errata’d naga to snakes. They want to keep consistency.
I would rather that they do it other way around. Viashino are WotC's own creation and they should push that tbh. Jittery lizard dudes on vast amounts of cocaine.
I love how they do things like this while simultaneously adding in varmints, basically a synonym for pests, because it's more flavorful and unique to the plane. Not to mention, "beast" has basically been unbatched because they are prepping for Bloomburrow and didn't want like 80% of the set to be beasts 😅
I think something you're overlooking is how many generically strong rogues and pirates their are. All of which care about combat. If you look at cards like grim hireling, lotho, port razer, dockside, dauthi voidwalker, opposition agent, ragavan, prosper, old/new massacre girl, breena etc... Outlaws essentially becomes the best hits in each of their respective types. That might be boring to some people, but when constructed, its probably going to be quite powerful
Batching creature types is a way to support multiple types at once without only picking one at a time. It is both thematic and different from the party mechanic (ie doesn't generally require any specific participation/member). It also doesn't necessarily remove the option of supporting one type at a time. The argument that there is no inherent synergy is weak, considering that there is often multiple themes within various creature types that are not synergistic with each other. The existence of batch, itself, is an additional subtheme for all the involved types that creates a synergy. There should be more batches in the future.
Batching is a bandaid solution to there being too many types. I agree that for the sake of the game, there should be batching, but also it is clearly a not great solution to a problem they’ve backed themselves into. Consolidation would likely be a better fix. Turning assassins and mercenaries into rogues, soldiers and knights into warrior, etc etc
This is the only precon from this set that I preordered. My plans are to use Vihaan, Goldwaker as the commander in a treasure aristocrats type build that ramps up treasures, and makes huge gains from sacrificing them when they turn into creatures.
Not sure how I feel about finishers in the Command Zone. Jetmir, Voja, now Vihaan. They seem very interesting to build around but I think turn linear quite quickly. Great video as per usual!
In regards to graywater's fixer, the viashino creature type is getting discontinued and replaced with lizard. Naga is getting the same treatment, they are just snakes now.
Does it not say with dead before sunrise, "This creature does damage equal to its power to target creature."? To me that means if my creatures have death touch four mana to remove creatures equal to the amount of creatures I have. Which that can be hella good. Also that lifelink heal as well.
The way I see it, the treasure theme gives you ramp in Mardu and the Outlaws "tribal" at least makes it so, that you can upgrade your deck in the future with cards, that advance your gameplan while still grinding value out. I think thats way smarter then settling for Elves or Merfolk and having to wait for new cards in exact these tribes. I dont think the deck is for me, but I think this is not bad at all
Man...think you missed the mark on the ending with this video. Maybe ill be wrong post release but thinking that this is literally the "Most Wanted" deck. Pun intended 🤦♂️
Uhhhh dockside is an outlaw
Came here to say this
I promise that is the only reason I am running it in this deck

Worth mentioning how well this deck will line up with the assassins creed set coming this summer

I love that actually! Like how leonin are cats, I like that viashino are now lizards

@@tomerabramovici32 yea, it makes it better for tribal decks

Whenever I look at the backup commander’s text all I can think of is FIGHTING GOLD!!!. Definitely interested in making a deck around him.

I'm not sold on there being too many types. Batches allow for thematic groups, regardless of the number of types.
Agreed. Batching is great. Tired of super generic typal stuff.
Wrong precon shown on the intro unless that was planned
my bad :(
I think the second land screen is wrong too, dimir lands don’t seem right
Not sure if it was a misunderstanding around 4:22, but Dockside is an outlaw, as they are a pirate.
Uh... dockside IS an outlaw, it is a pirate
Be Goblin, Do Crime!
Wait did I miss somethng? Darkwater catacombs and Aqueduct in a Mardu deck?
This is the only precon from this set that I preordered. My plans are to use Vihaan, Goldwaker as the commander in a treasure aristocrats type build that ramps up treasures, and makes huge gains from sacrificing them when they turn into creatures.
Is that one of Rodrigos shirts? :)

Dead before Sunrise is an instant. So you could use then untap?
I am here for your Temple of the False God rant.
Dead before sunrise is way better with the secondary commander since he gives blanket vigilence to all of your creatures.
love these greyvard mechanics
Graywaters fixer with dockside and then vihaan is disgusting. I can’t wait to make it!
Giant Treasure Constructs *Gets Flashbacks to Opulence from Battle for Azeroth* OH NO
"This is most wanted", while clearly showing Grand Larceny
Viashino got erratad into Lizard
Graywater's fixer and Negan/Malik are best bud's
Why are you reading blue lands in a mardu deck
Charred Graverobber seems like a draft common huh? It’s so bad xD
That wrong deck in the intro lol
Tenured Inkcaster doesn't even make sense as an 'Outlaw' She literally has tenure at a university.
“everybody loves cascade” is very wrong, tomer.

Stop whining about batching, its actually a good design mechanic. How is Party not flavorful? Have you ever played an RPG before?
Let’s goo
Wrong lands randomly too lmao
Not one good vampire in the whole set
Vihaan > Olivia . He should have been the afce commander.
Olivia is a household name, so it makes sense having her as the featured commander.
