You can either take a direct bus to Kookal from Kodaikanal or hire a cab to reach this place
✨ What to expect
A basic mud house stay with basic facility of four walls, a roof, a bed and washrooms. But don't get me wrong here. Hygiene is top notch. So, this stay will help you give an experience of primitive living and being closer to nature and unwind yourself amidst gigantic mountains (Do Not Expect Luxury)
✨ Expenditure
The owner of the stay charges Rs.600/- per head per night. He also provides homely food (cooked by his wife) and the charges will be extra depending on what you have. We payed Rs. 200/- per head for all three meals. Also, we payed just Rs. 80/- for the bus back to Kodaikanal

in 2021 my solo ride I stayed in this mud house.its really beautiful place amazing mountain views and landscapes

I felt This is an extremely unsafe place .Just checked out of this place and the first thing I had to do was dropping this comment.
my wife and I went here, the host did not tell us what was in-store for us. it is when we arrived we got to know that along with us there are 14 other boys who will be staying in the houses.( decided in 3). Or else we have to stay in kookal village.
Obviously we had to choose the later one .
However we had an option to go to the main place and stay there for sometime . When we did so we saw lots of shirtless dudes heavily wasted with what not dancing and the host could do nothing about it .
This place is completely unsafe for couples / family.
In case only boys wish to go then you can .
PS: the view from the actual place is good

No. It quite offbeat, so there is no bus tour as yet. But you can travel through the state buses 😊

There’s absolutely zero network at the stay. As mentioned in the video, this stay helps you connect with nature. Electricity is not an issue. Hygiene is not an issue at all

I would not recommend to travel solo here. It’s an offbeat location, would suggest you to visit with a group

You don’t need to book the bus ticket before hand. You can get it from the conductor in the bus
