U.S. based short-seller Hindenburg Research in a new report released on Saturday alleged that the chairperson of India's market regulator Madhabi Puri Buch previously held investments in certain offshore funds that were also used by Adani Group.
In a late night press statement, Buch denied these allegations and called them baseless, adding that a detailed statement would be issued later.
Citing whistleblower documents, Hindenburg said Buch and her husband held stakes in an offshore fund where a substantial amount of money was invested by associates of Vinod Adani, brother of Gautam Adani, who is chairman of Adani Group.

One morning I woke up and decided to short Adani and cook up a strong story on Adani and I'm hindenburg research, if you're thinking in that way trust me it didn't work out like that. Hindenburg must have something to put in front of us and they did it.

One panelist is saying to submit an affidavit by hindenburg because he thinks we are incapable of doing an investigation, our judiciary and law is corrupted according to him? That we can't figure out by ourselves Or something where the argument is to hide and support our own mess.
