@@WatkinsAGoGo Since Warner Bros owns the rights currently to San Francisco RUSH and California SPEED[unless they sell the rights due to the Discovery merger] and they teamed up with Raw Thrills on a arcade version of the Injustice mobile game, why don’t WB Games let Raw Thrills make new arcade versions of San Francisco RUSH and California SPEED? It could work. Just need to update the environments for California Speed.. Make a arcade fun version of real life circuits like Sonoma Raceway and Weathertech Raceway at Laguna Seca. Add in the Long Beach Street Circuit.

If this game sells a lot of copies then Raw Thrills, Nintendo, and GameMill will do a Crusin' Trilogy with Crusin' USA, Crusin' World, and Crusin' Exotica. We will not speak of Crusin' Wii because that was a attempt to be a Fast and Furious game but couldn't get the license to do so.

Cruis’n was one of the first arcade racers I’ve ever played, and I played a lot of the Fast and Furious arcade game as a kid and that was basically a dolled up Cruis’n. This game looks dope as hell.

That results screen is stylish. The patterns go the same direction with the car and they picked good dynamic camera angles so they make it look cool no matter where your car is facing, even upside-down.
I don't think I've ever been as happy about ANYTHING in my life as Matt is about this game. When people say happiness can be infectious, this is what they're talking about...

I was pretty surprised to see an arcade machine of this a while ago. Glad to see it brought to modern platforms.
I went to Dave and busters over the weekend and was surprised as well to see they had several of these. I didn't play it because I wanted to save myself for the game that's actually out for delivery today! I wish they would bring super bikes 2 to switch I loved that game at arcades.

In an age where video games go for either realism or big story that try to rival movies with 30 minute cut scenes or dialog, they forgot the first thing to a good video game is to have fun. If you are not having fun, what is the point in playing.
It was great to Matt having fun in what would be called a simple arcade racer. It looks like you get your $40 worth as they added more content than the arcade game.

I had so much fun playing this game. There are some things that don’t make sense but it’s an arcade racing game, I all for it as long as it’s a fun experience. It is a thrill on some of these tracks.

When I was a kid, from the ages of 8-12 my mother was the CFO for a company that owned and ran multiple arcades called 'Time Zone' as well as selling Arcade Machines and repairing them. So the 'Sales Room' was basically an Arcade Centre with all the newest games, 30-40, with nobody there to play them, except me. It was amazing, I basically had my own personal Arcade. Sometimes when my mother's workload was really heavy she'd work on the weekend, when she did I'd invite a friend or a few friends and we'd literally play video games all day whilst she worked. It was incredibly fun. Even with ALL the games available to me I still loved Cruis'n USA & Cruis'n The World above all the other racing games. So much fun.
Then one weekend I was walking around the repair warehouse and I saw a huge roll of prize tickets, like 10,000 of them in a single roll. I then went around to various Time Zone arcades in my city using them, I got heaps of lollies and chocolates, chips, etc, silly & extravagant toys, cheap electronics, posters, giant stuffed toys, figurines, etc. I got caught out once though, the guy refused to exchange them because I stupidly had just handed him about 400 tickets which were all attached to each other, no way is some kid getting that many tickets in one go so he knew something was up. In the end it didn't matter though I just didn't go back there. I'd always go visit the repair warehouse after that to see if there were any more rolls of tickets laying about, I only ever found 3 rolls, but 30k tickets was more than you could ever really use anyway. I mean how many fake moustaches can one 10 year old need? I just started asking my friends what they wanted, it was usually the 'big ticket items' like huge plush bears, Sony Walkman, Lava Lamps, etc and I'd just give them the tickets necessary to get them. By that time though I knew I needed to 'doctor' the tickets to make them look used as those items were generally 2k+.
Been playing it most the day and its been a... well how do I put it?...... Its been a Blast! Love this game.

True. The game would have like a million light sources bouncing at your eyes. You’d be putting on sun screen and wearing shades just to play this game.
Every time I play it, I am grinning from ear to ear! This is a straight up 9/10 game. The only thing holding it back from a perfect score is online multiplayer.

I got the game day one myself. I enjoyed it despite some of the tracks being reused around. I also noticed the new tracks came straight from Super Bikes 3, which is a bonus because I never played Super Bikes 3. I look forward to see more from Raw Thrills and Game Mill.

Cruisin' is part of what I'd like to call as auto-scroller racing games. There's basically no physics of any kind involved because your car is pretty much magnetized to the overall direction of the road somehow. Kinda like in the old 16-bit racing games, your turning and braking does matter but you cannot exactly truly turn away from the road and drive somewhere else. It's like slot cars but with slightly more maneuverability.
Growing up, I loved playing Cruis'n the USA & Cruis'n the World. I was terrible at them, but I kept going back because I thought they were so fun. This looks fantastic & I'm definitely getting a copy :)
Now we just need my favorite back, Hydro Thunder.

i miss when games would get crazy like this. the arcade scene really helped developers come up with whacky ideas
This game is FANTASTIC for what it is - a madcap arcade racer of the loudest, dumbest degree. Most players will want to wait for a price drop or a sale, IMO. Best advice: don't binge the tours. Take your time, play a few tracks every day, like you're dropping five bucks of tokens / swipes at the arcade. Makes the experience last longer and allows the bombast to BREATHE.
That said if you really wanna grind out the upgrades for each vehicle, pick one of the shorter tracks like Night Riders on Easy and get 20 first place finishes. EZPZ once you grasp basic mini-turbos and shortcuts.
Just watching this gave me an adrenaline rush! Now I know why I should buy a Switch!
I cant say about the other stages , but that first one, im Glad to see some set pieces from Rio de Janeiro on a game other than Just the Christ
Yeah, this game is pretty crazy, and it was just what the doctor ordered. The Dino "car" unlock is so worth it. One of my favorite vehicle looks in the game.

You can get a lot of extra boost by drifting with the right trigger.
Kinda bummed that I can't punch in 1234 on the keypad to unlock everything like in the arcade version, but it still looks slick as hell
I still wishi HORI adds a keypad for an official steering wheel dedicate to Cruisn' Blast for the Switch.
would love to see another vid of gameplay, if you've got some more tracks / vehicles unlocked to show off - can't beat some good simple fun arcade racers now and then tbh.

Just a little question, is there differents camera options? I kinda feel like the camera is way too close to the vehicle, making it hard to see what's in front of us (especially while doing wheelies).
