Love these irons! Just moved over from the Mizuno MP60 with project x 6.5 shafts. Took a couple years off and jumped right back into it. Getting more yardage but my shafts are only 85 grams which is causing a slight pull to the right so now I purchased another set of the rifle shafts at 105 grams hopefully this will stop my pulling
I purchased my stealth irons a couple of months they replaced my original SIM irons I am more than happy with the results cannot wait put the Qi10 driver on the market
Bought the 6,7,8&9 right from Carlsbad California knowing my current R11 irons are 2 degrees upright and sure enough my shots are out to the right easily 40,50 yards offline with my 8 iron . .long story short get fitted for at least your irons, ,going to get them adjusted to my liking
Got fitted for these a couple weeks ago. 2 degrees upright and a half inch longer with the kbs max mt steel shafts in regular flex. I got fit and put the order in at a premier Taylor Made fitting location. It’s been over 2 weeks and clubs haven’t arrived yet. I don’t see a back order on parts so I don’t know what the holdup is.
I started playing golf last year with Sim OS irons..after 12 months apparently I was pretty ok,went to P770/P790 mix,and wowie..the ball goes where I picture it. (75% of the time).Love TaylorMade.
Talk about timing! Had a fitting last week for new irons. Just pulled the trigger on the Stealth’s today. Was an easy choice when I banged the 7i 165m with range balls. I required 2” longer, 4° upright, 120g Dynamic Gold - Stiff. Can not wait get my hands on them! Hopefully 17 HDCP will improve.
Congrats, no doubt that hdcp will shoot down! May i ask, aside from the fitting cost, are the cost of the irons reasonable in comparison with other online retailers? Saving up before i go for a fitting because i know i wont be able to walk away without getting a set!
GI irons rely on stronger lofts to help with distance. Lower CG helps with launch and decent angle stops you on the greens not spin with these irons. Something as simple as playing a different golf ball will help with spin should you require more.
Anyone know if the lie angle can be adjusted on the stealth irons? I just won a set for a closest to the pin at a tournament. I haven’t got them in my hands yet, but I’ve been playing a fitted set of p790 clones for the last 5 months and they’ve really helped my scores come down (from a 23 to 19 handicap in that time). I’m thinking the stiff shafts and -2 degree lie adjustment are a big factor. Now I’m trying to decide if I want to put the stealths in the bag, try to trade them for a different fitted set or sell them and just keep my clubs and the cash.
@@trottiegolf they’re clones 😬 I’m hoping I can get a decent amount of store credit to trade up for the real thing! … if only I knew a guy 🤔 🤣lol thanks for the reply Trottie, I’ll see what I can do to get myself into those new 790s. I think that’s the way to go for me or I’ll end up with some big gaps with those strong lofts. Thanks for the free content/info ✌🏽
@@imperials5507Helped launch the ball up high with low swing speed and that too, helped with the missed hit. A high 100+ mph swing speed might be ballooning the ball IMO.
Hi Chris, Curious to get your thoughts on weather the stealths are for me or the 790s. My biggest issue is face strikes. So when I demo the Stealths or other GI irons, I can tell the mishits fly so much better than the players distance irons would. If it helps, I don’t have a handicap but one week I’ll shoot in low 80s, the next week, barely break 100. Usually carry driver around 240-250 and seven iron is around 155-165. Tend to get steep with shoulders on downswing and can get the club left behind the hips. Do I err on side of caution and get Stealths? Or get the 790s and hope with more practice my brain makes the necessary adjustments for more consistent face strikes?
Hey mate, Your last sentence holds the answer. If you're gonna put some time in then 790, if you're gonna stick to the current plan the Stealth. Always tough to give any feedback without seeing it but that would be my suggestion. Good Luck PLYR
I don’t know much about T300’s so tough for me to comment. Stealth’s are strong & certainly forgiving but I can’t comment on the other set from experience
Just got these stealth clubs 5-AW. Can’t hit the 6 or 7 iron worth anything maxing at 140 and 150. I hit the 8 iron 145-150 and the 7 iron 165 to 170. I have a problem with the 24 degree 6i and 21 degree 5i. Ended up getting a stealth 4 hybrid hd at 23 degrees hit that great. I am going to keep trying but pay have to pull the stealth 5i and 6i out of the bag. Or I will return the set of clubs since I do have 90 days everything is good but the 6 and 5 for me
This video is ridiculous! The average golfer, which is 90% of all golfers do not give a crap about launch angle & spin rate? The average golfers care about playability & feel.

Went for a similar set up, but a bit shorter (+1.5 and 2up). What’s your height mate? :)

Tried them to my spec, you will love them mate!
I've got 770/790s for a little more spin, but Stealths were crazy good.
Great review as always! Can’t wait to see Stealth 2! Wishing you a Merry Christmas 🎄 anda great 2023!
Dream set are p790s how do these compare in terms of loft and spin

So I recently purchased the black Stealth irons is there any difference in the clubs ? Besides them being black ?
i don't believe so. Just a different finish
What parameter should be half the club loft? Launch angle?
Yes, that’s what he said, or meant anyway.

With the slot in the hosel are they a little bit easier to bend to a flatter lie as I don't like the toe up too much?

what launch monitor are you using
what do you recommend
I like TrackMan , always used it….
when testing game improvement irons, please hit about 80 mph ish, not 95 mph. That is what the Game Improvement irons mainly aim for.
Says who?
I thought game improvement irons help with off center impact, Not swing speed. I’m not wrong am I?
There are some 300 yards long newbie hitters out there but most weekend players drive 200-240 yards. That's GI mainly for.

These are probably the first SGI Irons that actually look good.
Would you rather the Stealth irons or T300’s for game improvement and forgiveness?

Very good review
I just tried multiple iron sets on Thursday and while the Stealth's were ok for me the Ping 425's out performed them pretty easily.

Is that not why they're average? Good to know what to aspire to in order to improve as a golfer
