I am a UW-L alumni from Europe ('16) and this video brings back so many precious memories and a deep sense of nostalgia. La Crosse will always have a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to visit again once the sanitary situation allows traveling!
Thank you for this wonderful video of La Crosse, a place I will always call home. My family moved away to Oklahoma City when I was 15. I'm nearly 72 and when I'm asked where I'm from, the answer is always the same... "Lovely, Lively, La Crosse".
Fantastic video! Moved from Virginia to LaCrosse from 80-83. Some of the best times of my life during that time. Great people, great city back then. Went to Lincoln Middle School and Central High School. Learned what skitching was, depending on the wind direction, the smell of spent hops at Lincoln, learned to cross country ski ….. and still love deep fried cheese curds. Great place to grow up for a few years.
I went to Logan high school in la Crosse .we use to drive to grand daddy s bluff .I miss la Crosse .I remember when living on french island .the Mississippi River flooded .good times .thank you for sharing your video never know when I'll be able to get there . October fest was also fun
zahn Angela thank you! It’s a beautiful area. If you are interested, I also have an online store where you can purchase prints featuring La Crosse at www.jasonrayphotography.com
Though I moved away 46 years ago, La Crosse is my hometown and I go back to visit whenever I can. Love this video! Very nicely done, appreciate your hard work on this.
Great video! We just moved back to our hometown, La Crosse, after 6 years on the west coast. It's great that you included the Cass st. castle in this, along with downtown & the bluffs. I've been to some great parties there over 10 years ago.
I'm Italian, and I always been fascinated by USA. If I could get the chance to choosing a place where to live there that would be in La Crosse. It looks like a very quiet place to live. I know many people talk about Killer case, but I think that's such a real shame that a wounderful city like this is known only because of him. For the rest, love music and video, greetings from Italy 🇮🇹🤝🇺🇸♥️
My wife's family is from Italy. Several of her relatives visit every now and then. They all love La Crosse, Wisconsin! It really is a great place to live. We are within a few hours' drive between several large cities, so there is always something to do 🍻 🇮🇹 🇺🇸
You been in the south 20 years cause lacrosse dead as fuck the way ppl act they need to hurry up and legalize weed in Wisconsin maybe some of them will take the sticks out they asses
I miss certain aspects of it, but recently went back mostly to go to Deaf Ear Records, where I pretty much lived growing up, and it wasn't the same. Would like to go back to see if I could somehow get into the place I grew up at, again to see what it's like, now.
Thanks for watching my video. The State Room opened up around 2009. Prior to that it was a country bar called Longhorns. Not sure the history prior to that, however

Former la crosse central student!
i thought i'd visit but everyone seems to drive way too fast there.
And the days only seem to last a few minutes.

well done but many changes since I left. Some places I just don't recognize any more......
The State Room down on 3rd St, I think, has been around a long time. I was in there in the 70's.

It was Spanky’s biker bar prior to that. I think he owned it a while. Great memories.
I have 2 Time sequences of lacross as well. one from a parking garage looking down town and the other a sun rise on top of granddads bluff
I spend 4 years here. From China.
Is this a good town for families?
thx man :)
Nice video it shows downtown and a couple things on the southside quite well, to bad you didn't show anything from the northside.
Thanks! I'm hoping to create more videos like this in the future which showcase different parts of the tow.
@@jstuempges1985 Thumbs up, encourage you to do so.
Great footage.
Augusta gein called her hometown a den of sin, filth, and a place filled with Soddam and Gomorrah. I think lacrosse Wisconsin is quite beautiful!
This town can’t get a rock concert to come here in The last 20 years because nobody wants to come here I wonder why lol
Your a WTC student I bet :)!
I did attend WTC for one year a long time ago but it wasn't for anything photography related. Ive been out of school since 2009.
Still the most boring town ever
