     @SkicentreDublin having used these systems and knowing how different the carpet grain affects the ski edges, I'm very impressed by Richard's competence and skill level. His technique is damn solid, and he makes it look simple...much respect 👍

    How shitty would it be to live in a place where you have to ski on a moving carpet instead of snow?

      Bart Nelder you guys have one of the most awesome indoor ski centres in the world though , not as good as a mountain but definitely better than a moving carpet

      Skiing or snowboarding in Carpets was actually proven to vastly improve your techniques; as you need to be 100% perfect with no mistakes to be able to not fall, this is more effective for getting better as Skiing or Snowboarding as you get more control on your feet and control on your body...Being on a Carpet is MANY times harder as it does forgive you like it does in the snow when you make a slip up.

    auw.... nice methode... but will it work :s .... i heard noting about alpine basic postion, angle and stering from your feet... so i think its a good idea but it will not work whit the most of our customrs...

    Shouldn't perfect parallel have a simultaneous edge change?

    • @extremeskierx528
      @extremeskierx528 8 лет назад +1

      +TRODD12321 yes its called 2-4-2 but parallel can also be skiing flat not engaging any edge, try it on hard snow. Try getting into advanced technique clinics at a resorts ski school, after a few you'll be happy you did.

      +ExtremeskierX Sorry, I didn't understand? What is 2-4-2? And what does braquage have to do to with the lack of a simultaneous edge change in the video?

    Blue Mountain collingwood Ontario Canada. A 90 minute lesson for a beginner transitioning to intermediate learning how to parallel ski from stem Christi cost $195 Canadian. Very expensive and they don’t teach proper technique for leaning into your edges with bent knees.

    Where is the mogul carpet run?
    It all depends on the ability of the person wanting to learn I have often taught those who get it in less than 1 hour and in less than 6 steps, usually 2 or 3.

    Absolutely terrible posture. You're supposed to be perpendicular to the slope when skiing, but this guy is basically sitting down when bending his knees. It's not even a steep pitch for Christ's sake. If you don't have your centre of mass centred over your boots then you'll be trying to steer with nothing but the backs of your skis. Quite irresponsible from somebody that is supposed to be teaching others.

  • @coralreef909

    People want learn to ski properly. Why do ski instructors withhold information ? You end up being stuck on the baby slopes indefinitely never learning how to master the technique of parallel turns on steep slopes.
