So, keep in mind that I have three left feet and I can’t dance at all… what’s the difference between clogging and tap dancing? They don’t seem so very different.
Traditionally, clogging is heavier and typically focuses on the down beat whereas tap is lighter and focuses on the upbeat. Contemporary clogging, however, has in some ways become a melting pot of all kinds of dance forms. People have brought the influences of tap, jazz, hip hop, etc into clogging and visually the lines have definitely become more blurred.
