I completely forgot about Stranger because that song was two songs mixed in one and it didn't merge well so I didn't like it and I wanted to forget it. The main reason I remembered Heart Burn as her last comeback because it's a song that doesn't have weird switch ups like Stranger, plus it works so well for her. Heart Burn & Balloon In Love suits her better than older tracks like Gashina, Full Moon, Siren, Pporappipam, You Can't Sit With Us etc.
Sunmi always knows exactly what she's doing with her Voice and Range in the music and recording studio working on her music that has a beautiful and very well produced set
I love this song and this music video. I feel like it is deeply personal for her. She's talked about the struggles she has because of her bpd in some of her work and I think this one is a more subtle example of that. With bpd, relationships are hard to maintain but here, the heroine choses to still love, even if it's fragile like a balloon and could blow up any time.
I know of no other female soloist that can be beautiful, erotic, fun, cute, sexy, innocent, femme fatale, girl next door, adorable. All within a single MV. Sunmi is such a chameleon and I love every one of her colours.
Sunmi always has interesting videos. This might be my favorite (song and mv) just because of how simple it is. From start to finish, the freshness to the hiccups and understanding to the smooth patch to the ending. I love that it doesn't show anyone starting or ending the relationship just the emotions of them from Sunmi's side

I think the feathers could mean maybe the fluttering feeling you get when u like someone and feathers float and flutter in the wind too like a ballon or bubbles. The scenes with her writing on glass where its all steamy also reminded me of titanic.
