That's exactly what I hope to achieve with this channel! ANYONE can make awesome cupcakes and cakes, not just the 'professionals' - Glad your enjoying the videos so far - LOTS more to come xxx
Thank you for such an informative video! You explain the process well. I do not know how even one person could give this a hands down! I think someone might be jealous and hired a bunch of people to dislike it! TeHe!
I am a beginner cake decorator and I have only just found your videos, and I have to say, I love em. It sounds silly, but the way you talk and show things is a lot like how my aunt shows me how to do things (she used to decorate cakes) with this. I will have to try this rainbow stuff!
Hi! I can answer all 3 of your questions :) 1. Yes- you can use any colouring you like to colour it - gel paste, liquid, oil based 2. Yes, my frosting is called Perfectly Pipeable buttercream frosting and theres a link to it in the description box for this video 3. I wouldnt recommend betty crocker frosting for this style of swirl. You want a frosting with a lot of body and structure to it, to be able to achieve the nice high swirl without it sagging. I hope this answers all your questions!
Im very new to cake decorating, I currently was moved to the bakery department at my store and am being taught all different techniques and I used this the other day and customers went crazy with orders for them! Thank you for you helpful videos!
Hi! No, the frosting wont harden but it will form a very very thin light crust on the outer layer. Don't put it in the fridge, just leave it on the cake at room temperature for best results (the fridge WILL make it go hard as it will solidify the butter). It can last out of the fridge for up to 3 days :)
Wow!!! I've just started baking a few weeks ago, and I can't believe how easy this technique is! Thank you so much .^_^. By the way, I live in America (in case my picture didn't give it away ;), and I just can't get enough of your voice and accent; they're simply as delightful as your lovely colors. Hugs! I've seen a few of your other videos, but I had to subscribe after this yummy colorful baking tutorial. I am just dying to try it!
What you could do is put each colour of buttercream in separate small piping bags, snip the ends and then put all three of them in one large piping bag and you would get the same effect without the hassle.😄
Omg this is the first baking video I watched when I was 7 and this video encouraged me into baking now I’m 12 but rewatching this video gives me back so much memories ❤️
Benjamin Arrowsmith I'm technically a New Zealander as thats where I was born, but have lived in Australia since I was 5 so would consider myself more Aussie than anything else :)
MyCupcakeAddiction Seriously? Same with me! I was born in NZ and moved to Australia when I was about 5 or 6. P.S You are such a good cook!!! I love your recipes!
I love your accent! :-) I could listen to you talk all day long. You should post a video showing your face so we all can put a face to the voice :-) I just started decorating on my own and made some stars with the Wilton 18 (or 16?) star tip using these three colors. Yours look better than mine did... I'm a work in progress!
I usually recommend 12 cupcakes for a high swirl - 20 cupcakes for a low swirl - however if you find yourself running out just make a double batch and freeze the remainder. Hope this helps :-)
Good timing! haha, I just finished decorating a cake a baked this afternoon, it looks sooo good! I made a chocolate syrup and drizzled that over the top of the cake, then I put squares of chocolate around the top, then I put a blob of peanut butter in the middle and positioned 2 more pieces of chocolate on top. I also put some 100's and 1000's on top! ^.^ Loved the cupcakes btw, it looks great! Also, I saw Ashlee and Charli in the newspaper the other day! ;)
I really like you videos especially in decorating cupcakes! you re a genius... I have some talent decorating but i dont have enough ingredients same as yous and it is costly... Anyway I really love your channel it is so amazing to watch...:)
Not sure if anyone's said this yet, but if you really have trouble putting the three colours in the bag without making a big mess, you can also put a colour in a separate bag (ziploc or whatever you like), and pipe it into the new bag. If you don't want your colours to mix a bit (which I like about this technique, but I can imagine the need for it) you can also put two or more smaller, filled piping bags (open at the end obviously) into a larger one with the tip of your liking :)
this was my jam when i was 6 😌
