I did mine just today on my 22 XCR and did not have to remove anything, except the four bolts holding on the exhaust valves. There is another you tube video that shows you how.
I dont know what i did wrong in the run in process but my 850 only made it to 400 miles and the valves were so gummed up that the thing threw multiple codes and had no power. ves extreme.
Run amsoil cleans the vales as you ride . I run amsoil and will never go back to polaris oil . Check out some of the youtube videos on amsoil and you will see that polaris is not good in cold weather.
Do you absolutely have to undo all those parts to pull the powervalves out? Wouldn't just removing the pipe do the trick? Is the engine bay different from the 800?
I switched to Amsoil Interceptor after first tank of VES and my exhaust valves are much cleaner than that at 6000km's with no loss in performance.
That Mustang besides your sled is amazing,I like those still, T-Tops 🤙🏼
Any updates. Hows performance? Before and after? Did you change oils now?
Thanks for the video! Does the valve assembly have a replacebable gasket? Does/did it need one?
You reuses the rubber gasket.

Good to know, I'll be cleaning them every year after seeing that carbon buildup. Thanks!

Do you have a video for cleaning the exhaust valves on the 2017 and newer 800? Or is the process pretty much the same as the 850?
Similar to the 850. Same process just 2 more bolts to remove on the valve assembly

It is the steering column not the pipe that gets in the way.
Polaris oil is very dirty, stopped using it for this reason. Klotz for me, night and day difference.
WOW thats a lot of GUM! Use Shell or Mystic full synthetic. Low oder and low smoke on both. Low ash content. Polaris oil sucks!
