I installed H&R LOWERING SPRINGS ON MY 2017 S550 ECO BOOST MUSTANG AD LOVE IT NO FRONT END NOSE DIVE. AND LOWERD FRONT AND REAR 1.75 INCHES. THEY ARE A COMPANY IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST,BELLINGHAM,WA.THEY ALSO MAKE RACING SPRINGS IF YOU ROAD RACE PLUS SWAY BARS AND EVERYTHING SUSPENSION WISE .
I'm not a big into the analytics, but don't you need a panhard bar and other things when lowering the s197? I have a 2009 gt/cs and am looking to lower it once I get my new wheels and tires.
All comes down to how they're designed! GT specific springs are made specifically for the heavier weight of a V8 engine. If you were to install GT springs on to a V6 equipped Mustang, the handling would not be as designed and the car won't be low as expected. -Zach
How much fender are you willing to cut to fit a bigger tire?👀 Kidding (unless you want to cut your fenders, your choice on that one). I've seen people run 305s and 295s on their lowered S197s before with no problem, but that's pushing it space-wise. It honestly depends on what lowering springs you buy and how much they drop your car. I'd recommend finding the wheels/tires you like first, then looking at other peoples setups for insight on what they did to fit them or how much they're lowered. That Koni orange shocks sucks!! Big time! i choose it to replace my factory shock absorbers front and rear order it from A.M. paid an Autoshop to have it installed .. it's good at 1st. Few months later may Mustang is back feeling like i didn't change the struts and shocks at all.. waste of time and Money and and don't fall for the color it's definitely not an upgrade.
