I love cove balconies!! And no one ever mentions one of my favorite features. Deck# 2 is the easiest way to get from one end of the ship to the other. There is always a straight passageway, all the way from bow to stern without having to go around, under, or over shops, restaurants, atriums, casinos, etc.
They are so amazing and you make a very good point! It’s literally one of the first cabins we look to see if it’s available. Best cabin for price point in our opinion.
We’ve booked a cove balcony on the Carnival Venezia TA sailing to NYC! So Excited! We fell in love with the Coves. They are private and we actually didn’t hear much if any noise from the floors above, and the views of the ocean, sunrises and sunsets are spectacular! With the lifeboat hanging overhead, it shades the balcony and make sitting out on the deck more enjoyable! We highly recommend Cove balconies!
Thank you for your response! Having never cruised in a cove, do they all have the lifeboats above?? We are in an aft balcony. I really don't want to be looking up at a lifeboat! What about engine noises below? Does that depend on where your cove balcony is located? Thank you!
@@AbadabbadooNJ …it depends on the location of your cabin. We’ve had both, where there wasn’t a lifeboat directly above or there was one above it, but most of the coves are below the lifeboats, you are looking at the bottom of them, but its not like they obstruct your view of the ocean. Being closer to the water seem to add to the view of the ocean and horizon. In addition, you don’t have balconies directly above you. As I said in my previous post, we didn’t seem to notice or were bothered with sounds coming from above or below. We like that they are really private as well…you can’t lean over enough to see into the coves on either side.
@@tadchisholm6509 thank you! We are in 2501 on the Venezia, literally in the rear. I know the MDR is above us and I am concerned about the noises from there, especially in the early mornings. I would think the lifeboats are on the sides of the ship, not in the rear itself, but I don't know. I'm still on the fence about this cabin!
I only book cove balcony’s 🥰. I wish they had different categories for them. Like … spa cove, Havana cove, cove suites I would pay extra to keep the cove experience and have the extra amenities.
Our PVP booked us on a (what we were told was NOT a cove balcony, but looking at the Venezia deck plan is) in an aft balcony on deck 2. We were told that the MDR is right above us. We have never been in a cove balcony cabin before (only regular balconies) and I'm concerned about the MDR being directly above us, noise throughout the night and early morning) and will I like or not being in a cove cabin. Everyone says an aft balcony is great for views. I'm nervous about this type of balcony and it's a 15 day cruise! Just venting here.....!
We have stayed in cabins below the dining room before. We didn’t hear the noise at night because we usually stayed out until 11 but did hear plates and chairs moving around in the morning. The cove balcony is incredible though.
Do you know if all coves have a lifeboat above? We are booked in an aft cove on the Venezia, and being that we have never been in a cove before and it's a long cruise (15 days), I'm a bit nervous I may not like it.
@@AbadabbadooNJ all cove balconies from carnival have lifeboats above and blocks sun so you can view the vast ocean and doesn’t obstruct view. You’ll love it, I did at first. You’ll be much more connected with the ocean and the magnificent view! Btw, Venezia is a very nice luxurious looking interior ship. Your gonna have a blast!

Cove balconies are on deck 5 on the Mardi Gras.
I have a cove on the Mardi Gras should I upgrade to a regular balcony?
We absolutely loved the cove balcony on the Mardi Gras! I wouldn’t if I were you, it’s so private and beautiful!

@@AbadabbadooNJ if it’s in the rear rear yea there’s no lifeboats for sure. Only sides that I know of.
