My grandfather loved the MYST and Riven games (he also just loved video games in general). Even though he died when I was 8 (23 years ago), I have so many memories of him sitting in his computer room on his old mac, absorbed in figuring out these puzzles. I loved watching him play and helping him figure things out. I miss him. He was a cool dude. ❤

These were the first engrossing multimedia puzzle games. That’s pretty cool he was keen to try new things. Remember to pick that torch up and set that example when you’re the old fart :-)

If you like puzzle games, you should play the Room!! They have a vr game as well as at least 3 Steam games (there may be more, but I found 3). Each game is a different setting and mystery, but each revolves around solving many smaller puzzles and finding letters that solve the puzzle happening outside of the game (like backstory and stuff). It's kinda hard to explain, but I'd watch the trailers if you're interested! It can give off some scary vibes (mostly the atmosphere) but dw there's no horror elements
Aww, you're such a doll!!🥰 Always remember that (though you might feel slow or inadequate with puzzle games) those who tune in to your channel do so to "hang-out" with YOU as you play. Would totally enjoy seeing more...unless you got too sick. Maybe the regular version instead?

Eyyy, VR powered Morphness! I remember playing Myst allmost 30 years ago and loving the game (even with its counterintuitive puzzles). I'm thrilled that games from that time are getting remakes. Have you checked out the VR remake for The 7th Guest? I loved that one so much, played those CD-ROMs to death - and the soundtrack by The Fat Man and Team Fat, ooohh "Skeletons in my Closet", I still catch myself singing that one from time to time. It got etched on my pre-teen mind :)
My only problem with Riven (and Myst) is it's got some sound based puzzles. I gather that in the remakes they helped this out a bit, but I'm not really good at matching up sounds.

Give Moss a try! It's a puzzle platformer with a cute little mouse. Huge Redwall vibes. Moss 2 came out not long ago, too. Unfortunately, I don't know if you need to play the first to make sense of 2, but the first one is excellent anyway!

I would recommend Moss too. It's a lovely game, the mouse whom you help overcome various obstacles is adorable and the environment of the game is charming. Plus you play from the third-person (you stay in one place and just show the mouse where to go, move the obstacles out of the way etc.) so the game doesn't trigger motion sickness. Other great (but rather short) VR games good for people suffering from motion sickness are A Fisherman's Tale and Down the Rabbit Hole.
I just finished Myst a couple weeks ago and the puzzle struggle makes me feel seen 😭
This was not only one of the first video games I played when younger, but the first of the Myst series that I played and it was freaking FANTASTIC! The graphics, the environment, the everything.....UGH!!!!

I do think it loses a tiny bit not having the quicktime videos like the original. Instead of CGI characters, it was actually live action - two of the characters in Myst (and I think they may also show up in Riven) were actually the game devs! It was so neat back in the day! (yes, I played this shortly after the original release..... I am super old)
Sirus and the other guy from the red or blue colored books in Myst were the game devs? How did I not know this? Thanks for that tidbit! I played Myst when it first came out too, but I don’t remember if I ever got around to Riven. Like Morph, I didn’t get super far in Myst until buying a walkthrough guide (I don’t miss the days when you had to pay for those and they weren’t freely found online 😂)

If you want to get into vr, you're first going to need to get over your motion sickness. First, just play vr until you feel sick. When you start to feel nauseous, get off immediately, it will get exponentially worse and won't help you overcome vr motion sickness. Just keep doing this and you will realize your able to play for longer with getting sick and later not getting sick at all.
For game recommendations, it depends. i use a quest headset, so i am just going to assume you have the same, but if you use pcvr, it may be different.
Blade and sorcery is a really good physics sword fighting game.
Beat Saber is a classic
Super hot is also a classic
Until you fall, it is a bit older but is still amazing
Also, lies beneath is a super chill game that is full of fun and totally harmless.
Vail vr is probably the best pvp shooter for vr(in my opinion)
Arizona Sunshine 2 is an amazing zombie game with a really good campaign.

Oh the Myst series is sooo good. Been playing them for years. My favourite has to be Myst 4, it is so beautiful
vr has soo many cool opportunities! i recommend fishermans tale, really great story and puzzle game

I dont have vr, nor a pc that could run this, but I am seriously concidering bying to get to walk around in Riven and fulfill a childhood dream 😮 May I ask what VR set you have? Also, any tip on descent PC specs to be able to play this in VR would be appreciated 😊
If you have trouble with VR - try turning on the incremental turning, instead of smooth. Have a fan blowing on your face. Move your body like you would in real life - turn your torso, bend your knees, crouch, twist, etc. Try motion sickness medicine. If it's available, try turning on a vignette.
Maybe one of those things will help! It would be awesome if we could see you do more VR, and the only expense is your sanity, not your health. 😅

Saw a clip of this on a Facebook reel, and when I saw your name, it reminded me of a very long time ago. Did you play Ark Survival Evolved back in the day? If so, your channel has completely changed almost unrecognizable, I'm impressed but can't seem to find a Playlist of ark so idk if it's you or I'm mistaken you for someone else that was called Morph
The animated people and default meta hands don’t really cut it.
Walkabout Mini Golf, The Light Brigade, and Demeo are arguably the best VR experiences around... enjoy.

Doesn't this game have a teleport locomotion option? That would be the best way to play if you get motion sickness.

Tried to play in vr Oculus 3 but the graphics are no where near what they are if you play on a pc plus I got sick.
